Good run

Recommended Posts

A lot of good combinations in the line up in the last few weeks after last defeat at Swansea.

I think maybe one of the keys to the good run is the discipline of the left and right sided midfielders in the last games line up. Brady and Jarvis do a good job defensively and help out the defence.

Also the central midfield has been outstanding with Gary O''Neil. With the midfield correctly balanced it will be much easier for the defence. Also the rise of Timm Klose has been of big impotance. Very glad to see a defender standing out as our defense has been very shaky on this level all the time in the Premier League.

The last two games before Newcastle were better defenseievely so it it is of big importance to stay focused and disciplined from now on. Yesterday the opponent got to many goalscoring opportunities. The last good run for the team during the Christmas period also came when the team found a good defensievely balance.

must give credit to the whole team for outting in a good performance and show strengths to regain the lead three times against Newcastle. It show there must be some kind of spark in this team!

I forgot to mention Jonny Howson as he is having a very good period together with Gary O''Neil.

For a few weeks people had been calling for a back 5 of Ruddy, Martin, Klose, Bennett & Olsson and for Brady to be left wing and Howson through the middle. Now it seems that''s been the best combination we''ve had this season. Play your best players in there best positions and that''s a start.

We seem to be on to something good now. Been a massive few weeks. Picking up 2 of the 4-5 wins we need to stay up. All clicking at the right time, all pulling in the same direction and looking very solid together so let''s complete this job.

It''s worth noting that Newcastle, before the Norwich game, were, according to MotD, the lowest away game scorers in the top 10 leagues, with 7 goals, so conceeding 2 against them does take a bit of a shine off Norwich''s win. That said, it''s 3 points and no one will care if it means Norwich stay up.

As move Klose has said, our best players are being played in the correct positions which helps. It could be that Tetteys injury was a blessing in disguise

KLo I''d say they were actually lucky with their goals, their first was actually a deflection, Mitrovic headed it down into Bennet which caused it to loop up. The penalty was a 50/50... Seen them not given as well.

It would be a fair point if they had torn us apart to score, but on another day they could have come away with nothing.

The importance of snaching victory from of the jaws of defeat is massive. In this season it has been always the other way around. The unexpected point we picked up vs. ManCity seems to be "the point" when turned a corner this respect as we managed to grind out a result at last. Losing and winning both can be habit forming, so let''s lope these results will get us into the right habit and the run continues.
