Horse Renoir 1 Posted April 16, 2016 Devastating. Bassong, Bennett and Martin are championship level CB''s. Wisdom hasn''t played there for us but he''s under 6 foot.Really worrying, after hearing from AN yesterday I thought he''d be back for the final 4. Damn. SeattleCanary 0 Posted April 16, 2016 Why did he bother saying that he would be a close assessment for today''s game then, if he was out for the season all along? It was tactical, to keep Sunderland second-guessing, then surely we should be doing that for the last four games as well and not telling other teams which players are out. Completely stupid. Branston Pickle 3,598 Posted April 16, 2016 That''s a huge blow when we''ve invested so much in him. With the much maligned Martin also not in the squad, we do look a bit stuffed!!
KoromaCrab 0 Posted April 16, 2016 "It was tactical, to keep Sunderland second-guessing"Well that worked wonders didn''t it!

AJ 1,218 Posted April 16, 2016 Seems strange that unless he suffered a further injury in training or something, OR, the injury is worse than first feared that these stories about him possibly playing today were going around. Even if it was tactical surely the only affect is false hope to us more than worrying the opposition. He will be missed.
Rudolph Hucker 0 Posted April 16, 2016 For all our faults we have had dire luck all season.
KeiranShikari_2 0 Posted April 16, 2016 Sunderland''s tactics were never going to change depending on our team. Was more likely employed as to not worry fans. Was probably hoping to reveal it with a 7 point gap. Wonder how big a loss we''ll make on him. Can''t see anybody paying what we did off the back of that sort of injury. Empty Mirror 7 Posted April 16, 2016 Losing Klose, who could have developed into a club legend, might be one of the worst things about going down.It should be a priority for the club now to try to persuade him to give us until the January window, at least, even if we go down. Maybe offer him the Captain''s armband? In practice he runs the defence when he plays, whether Russ is there or not.
Tetteys Jig 830 Posted April 16, 2016 Will he definitely be off though if we go down? He''s barely been with us, we have no pressing financial needs to sell, he''d cost at least £10m if anyone wanted him, i have a feeling he''d stick about for at least half a season. Thecanaryfan 0 Posted April 16, 2016 What are we going to do? We cant play Bassong or Martin at CB. Are there any children we could bring in from the academy? Why do we have 11 midfielders on the books but only 3 recognised CB''s?
Well b back 3,140 Posted April 16, 2016 Under the circumstances Klose has just put a strange quote on his facebook page. Is he not really as seriously injured as we are being told or is he talking of next season'' Still 4 games to come, we wont quit fighting we wont quit running and do everything to stay in this league '''' Hope to be back soon to help the team ''
YorkshirePudding 0 Posted April 16, 2016 Tettey''s jig - Will he definitely be off though if we go down? He''s barely been with us, we have no pressing financial needs to sell, he''d cost at least £10m if anyone wanted him, i have a feeling he''d stick about for at least half a season. It also depends if he would actually want to stay at a champs club, especially as he''s clearly a class above
Syteanric 1 Posted April 16, 2016 And his agent already on the phone....Thanks Tim and good luck...
Making Plans 929 Posted April 16, 2016 Other PL Clubs will have seen enough to know that he''s PL standard. Even if he wants to stay it will be very hard, if not impossible, to keep him here. PL Clubs will have loads of money next season and really good CB''s are hard to come by. Even at £10m he''d be a snip.Go down & he''s a goner.

AmericanNorwichFan 0 Posted April 16, 2016 Recalling good old Turner? Knows the club and knows how to battle. He''s a big boy, but not sure if mentally he''d be up for it. Would take up a physical presence that Klose has left.
