nutty nigel 7,902 Posted April 13, 2016 Welcome to week thirty seven of our Rays Funds season. This week we have Woostercanary selecting the final six for the first time. Wooster has been a real asset to Rays funds since he joined. His style of picking makes for finishing in the top 40 an unlikely occurrence. But I like that he’s resolute in searching for a value option with draws a specialty. So I couldn’t be more pleased that it’s worked out that I could offer him a turn at the final six this season. As well as the value picks Wooster has also contributed with many pledges. A couple are still running and one in particular I hope we get to cash in on. I’m really looking forward to seeing what Wooster comes up with for our final six and we can help with our very best selections from the games Sat/Sun/Mon of this weekend that are listed on the William Hill or Bet 365 web site. This week we have Chellecity selecting from the suggestions for our game at home to Sunderland. Chelle has already won with the final six just two months ago so will be aiming for a quick fire double. One of our most consistent PUPs Chelle is also an ever present member of our Yellow Army at home and away games come rain or shine. Chelle, you have a tenner to spend on selections from the PUPs and of course your own. Kev did a great job last week in my absence. He’s always been there for me evn though he’s based in Leeds. Thanks buddy, top effort and a winning week to boot! So a week after presenting £1500 to the CSF we find ourselves with £43 in the kitty for the next presentation. It’s exciting to get a win so early. When we presented our funds at the recent DS game Emma gave us a signed City shirt as a thank you. She is getting it framed for us and I’m working on a competition for this summer’s Euros to raise more funds with the shirt as a prize. Here’s a link to the report about the community week, our presentation and some pictures : - http://www.communitysportsfoundation.org.uk/news/Community_Week_matchday_magic/ Now I’ll hand the thread over to Woostercanary and Chellecity. Remember there’s no pressure because we are all going to be doing our best to help you to success. We all stand together with the single aim of raising money for the Community Sports Foundation. Good luck all you PUPs... take it away Laurence and Chelle ... the thread is yours.......[:)]......... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As always I leave you with Ray’s signature which now reads :- Carve their names with pride.Yankee,5,Fellas,3,P''boro,2,Mr Chops,2,NewYork,2, Inch High,5, Blahblahblah, NCFC_Shaun, 1st Wazzock,3, Fonejacker,3, Norfolkbroadslim,3, Norfolkchance1,2, Scooby,3, Trent Canary,3, Cosmic Twin,4, Graham Humphrey, Leedscanary,3, NcfcStar, Herman, Delia’s Devonshire Dirtbox,2, Lappinitup, Statto, Mandie Moo,2, Mr Bump, Kathy,2, Til1010, Snake-eyes, Vindo,2, NWC, Hughesy, Gregt, GMF,2, SwindonCanary, Twidio, Hector Brockelbank, Lake District Canary, Bor Bor Bor, Yellowfuture, Chellecity, Diesel Doris, Lessingham Canary, yes Norfolkchance1 £2038 for the Academy, and £1493 for the Community Sports Foundation. Hissing Sid 160 Posted April 13, 2016 A foray into the Championship this week(Relegated) Bolton v (Promotion chasing) Middlesbrough - Away WinAnd for the match bet, a nervous HT/FT Draw/NorwichBest of luck Wooster, Chelle and all you PUPs
norfolkbroadslim 225 Posted April 13, 2016 Gogd afternoon everyone, I hope you''re enjoying your midweek lunch.I''m taking a trip to Croatia this week where it''s top at home vs bottom away this Saturday. It''s the battle of the Zagrebs - Dinamo Zagreb vs NK Zagreb - home winDinamo are four points clear at the top of the league. NK are rock bottom and cut adrift, they''ve won only once in 30 league games this season. NK are also bottom of the form table (last 6 games) with 1 point, Dinamo are second in the form table with 15 points.Dinamo''s home record this season reads P16 W14 D2 L0 F39 A9. NK''s away record reads P15 W0 D4 L11 F6 A29. So it''s Dinamo (with the best home record in the league) at home, where they score lots and concede few, to NK (with the worst away record in the league), who score few and concede lots.Dinamo are 4 points above Rijeka in the league, the title and Champions League qualification is still all to play for, so they will be still motivated. For the match bet I''m going for - NCFC to win 2-0 AND Howson to score last.Good luck everyone, the very best of luck Wooster and chelle. Platonic 1 Posted April 13, 2016 Getting mine in early again. I fancy Sheffield Wednesday to further compound Ipswich''s miserable season with a home win. For the match bet, this reminds me very much of when I did the Norwich picks when we were at Swansea, and I stick to my thinking then - it will be a tight game where I wouldn''t be surprised if Sunderland play 6 in defense. Likely to be a 0-0 or a narrow win for either team, so both teams to score would be a NO for me.Good luck all.
AJ 1,358 Posted April 13, 2016 For me it''s looking like a very straightforward Doncaster vs Wigan away win. Doncaster in terrible form whilst Wigan are in very good form. Hopefully this betting thing is as easy as it looks...For the Norwich bet I think we need to keep a clean sheet to stand a chance of winning, so assuming you can find some odds for it, Norwich to concede 0 and win. wooster 134 Posted April 13, 2016 Nigel, Thank you for the kind introduction and the opportunity totake part in selecting the final six. Asyou say my inability to consistently pick draws or away wins means I havelittle chance of finishing in the top 40 but, occasionally, there are somelonger odd bets that are worth a go. Itoo hope you’re right about the open pledges as these will mean more points for us. Your photo reminds us that we shouldn’t take liberties withthe match bets and PuPs can be reassured that I won’t be including any of myideas in the final six. So I will bewholly relying on your suggestions and hope to make my pick on Friday evening (before9pm) so any suggestions before then will be considered for the final selection. That said, it would be nice to have a reasonable pot to aimat so I’ll be grateful for all your ideas. Whilst I won’t be using this, my pick is Everton-Southamptondraw, at 23/10.For the Norwich bet, I’m going for 0-0 at 8/1.
chellecity 0 Posted April 13, 2016 Spain for me this weekAtletico Madrid v Granada - Home Win.And the match bet. Well, thanks to Nutty for giving me the opportunity of a "double". All will be revealed on Friday evening, so keep the suggestions coming.Good luck all, especially Woostercanary.
Duncan Edwards 2,424 Posted April 14, 2016 Well, someone''s got to....NORWICH vs Sunderland - Home WinAt the available 11/8 with Bet365 I think we''re a steal. Sunderland clearly aren''t very good and while a neutral could level similar criticism at us, we''ve already battered them once on their own patch. I was at the Stadium of Light and the last time I saw a rabble that disorganised was when I tried to get the kids ready for school without the wife''s help. They''ve improved since then (Sunderland, that is - the kids are still terrible..) but importantly we''ve had a couple of good recent wins and won a similarly important game against Newcastle, something they couldn''t manage. For the match bet, a bit of pin sticking has led me to come up with Jermain Defoe to score the first goal and Norwich to win 4-2. It''s 380/1. Probably for good reason but you never know...Good luck Wooster, Chelle and everyone else👍

Feedthewolf 5,885 Posted April 14, 2016 Welcome back Nutty, and good luck to Wooster and Chelle! If ever there was an ''away banker'', this is it. Bolton are already relegated, and Middlesbrough are in a tight three-way scrap for automatic promotion. Odds about 3/10.For the City game, Bill Hill have boosted City to win and Mbokani to score from 3/1 to 4/1, which looks decent. Under 1.5 goals at 2/1 also looks a good shout – even though they need to win, Sunderland/Allardyce would be unwise to come out all guns blazing as we are dangerous on the counter. nutty nigel 7,902 Posted April 14, 2016 I''m going to League Two this week where I think... Bristol Rovers v Yeovil Home Win For our game I''m sticking with the penalty theme. perhaps we''ll get awarded one at Carrow Road if the ref isn''t a closet Mackem... Norwich to score a penalty 8/1 Bet 365.
TIL 1010 5,246 Posted April 14, 2016 A very good evening to you Nutty and good luck to both wooster and chelle not forgetting all you other lovely PUPs out there.Off to Turkey and a HOME WIN please for FENERBAHCE v Mersin IY.For the Norwich bet chelle will need the power of the PUPs as we do not play in Portugal [;)] so my pick is Mbokani to score the first goal. Mr Angry 2,016 Posted April 14, 2016 I hope Wooster might appreciate the attraction of my pick this week, a home win for Accrington v Morecambe. Stanley are still going for automatic promotion while Morecambe are down near the bottom but safe. Past form for this match is 9 home wins, 2 draws and 1 away win so the odds of 11/20 seem quite generous. Though please bear in mind that whenever I''ve gone for any value bets they''ve let me down! For the NCFC bet, I''ve picked a 2-1 home win so many times that it must be the right choice some time.Good luck to Wooster, Chelle and all other PUPs wherever you are. Cosmic Twin 192 Posted April 14, 2016 I''m also going for a home win for Dinamo Zagreb v. NK Zagreb.Good Luck Wooster! As for the Norwich bet ~ still going for Howson to score any time! Good Luck, Chelle!

Parma Ham's gone mouldy 2,462 Posted April 14, 2016 Am so excited about Saturday that I might pee my pants........am spreading my wings around the stadium and entertaining some Royal guests in the blankets...Nutty I''m coming your way pre-match, rattle your tin loudly enough and I might liberate some sovereigns in your direction...To help the draw boy wonder Wooster, I''m chasing the sunshine to the Australia Victoria League 2:Moreland Zebras vs Bendigo City - Home winAs for the main event and Chelle''s Match bet, I almost dare not tempt fate, though I really don''t think Norwich will get beaten.A combination of outcomes might be attractive so:Norwich not to lose, Redmond to score in the second half, Steven Naismith to score.Look forward to seeing you, hearing you and celebrating with you...Parma 👏🍝🍝🇮🇹☺️😘🎼🎉💰🍾🕶⚽️
Molly Windley 76 Posted April 14, 2016 On a poor run of picks with teams at short odds so going for an outsider this week and a Crewe home win to Scunthorpe for no good reason at all.For the City bet William Hill have Brady to score from outside the box at 16-1 which looks a decent outside bet as he takes all the free kicks.Good luck to all, especially WoosterCanary and ChelleCity
The Great Drinkell 51 Posted April 15, 2016 Good luck to both Wooster and Chelle on the picks this week. Now I read with interest Woosters comments regarding not going for his pick of a Everton/Southampton Draw. The reason this is of interest is my Pick is the same match but a different outcome with the F.A Cup semi only a week away and having played in mid week along with the manager being under pressure from the fans, I think Southampton can take advantage and take all 3 points and at odds better than 2/1 I think this is the value bet of the weekend. ( which probably means a comfortable win for the hosts!)For the Chelle, with Defoe worrying most on this board - and with some justification- its van Aanholt going forward that I see as the potential danger as well as the weakness for Sunderland and assuming that Redmond is back this week i''ll take him to score the last goal
Mr Apples 1,407 Posted April 15, 2016 Off to Austria for me with FC RB Salzburg vs. SV Josko Ried (home win). For the City bet I''ll go for a City win over 3.5 goals. All the best everyone!Apples
