Today had echoes of the Newcastle defeat after Tettey was subbed.   Is Mulumbu really that awful that he isn''t even considered when both Tettey and O''Neil aren''t available?

This is the most important aspect of today and we need to keep this thread at the top above all the other crap about sacking Neil and how sh*t Martin is at CB.

The lack of a defensive mid really showed today, far far too often the central two were completely bypassed by one ball through, it was embarrassing. Neither were sitting in the hole that Tettey would''ve been in and therefore weren''t helping out the CBs (not that that would''ve helped with the awful back pass).

What is it with Mulumbu? He clearly isn''t doing enough to get close to the first team and with Tettey out it its even more bizarre.

We looked good as an attacking side with Naismith a really big positive from the game and shows he can score the goals we need to stay up. However the defence needs help, first by having a settled back 4 and having that protective shield in front of them that just sits and mops up the ball.... Tettey!
