Team for Spurs

Recommended Posts

Well in light of the fact we don''t seem to bother defending I propose:

---------------------Rudd---------------------

---------------------Klose--------------------

-----------------------------------------------

-----------------------------------------------

-----------------------------------------------

-----------------------------------------------

--------------------Tettey--------------------

Redmond-----------Vadis-------------Brady

--------Jarvis-----Naismith----Wes--------

---------------Mbokani--Jerome------------

1-4-5 formation.

Russell Martin can have a job behind the bar in Yellows instead.

You know......

Ruddy,

Pinto, Bennett, Klose, Brady

Tettey, Howson

Redmond, Naismith, Wes

Mbokani

For me, I''d drop Rudd as he couldn''t be blamed for the goals but Ruddy might have saved one of them today.

Reshuffle the back four and go with the core which scored 4 goals, Dorrans out for Tettey.

That''s it for me.

Same team but Klose for Martin and Tetty for Dorrans. We had them for 60 minutes today and then all hell broke lose, so most in the team will have a point to prove and the attacking side of things was good for the most part.

Klose and Tetty in to sure up the defence and a rocket to the rest to give them a chance to put it right, score some goals and hold onto it this time.

I don''t think I''d even trust him with that. He''d probably forget to charge people, or I dunno, leave a back pass 50 yards short.

Same as you MOONEY except replace Bassong with Bennett.

I think a partnership of Klose and Bennett could work, a ball player and a no non-sense type centre back. Could make for a good pairing.

Cannot do any worse!

Rudd

Pinto Bennett. Klose. Olson

Tettey. Howson

VOO Brady

Naismith

Mbokani

This is the team I picked before today and I still think it has the best chance. After today Rudd might be dropped for Ruddy but I''d say no goalie would have much confidence behind the defence that played today. Appalling decisions, terrible marking, poor clearances and a shocking back pass that beggars belief from a ''professional'' footballer. Why even attempt a back pass before checking where the opposition are and at least hit it hard enough so it has a chance of reaching Rudd. I''d expect that kind of error in an under 14 boys match. The trouble is the offender makes these mistakes on a regular basis and still keeps getting picked. He''s had his chances, I thank him for his efforts and for helping us get promoted but it''s time for him to be dropped. He can only be 3rd choice. I will seriously lose faith in what AN is trying to achieve if he persists in picking RM and also Brady at left back.

The results speak for themselves.

IMO this is the best 11 we have (O''Neill apart as he is still suspended I believe?)Naismiths arrival is the beginning of the end for Wes.

Only change I''d make to this is Bennett for Bassong.

Would prefer that as well Al as I like Bennett but think after his goal today as well as the little incentive that Seb used to play for Spurs, I reckon AN might put Bassong in.

As I say, I''d rather Bennett and Klose at LCB who''s left footed.

As the Spurs game is in February, id prefer to wait and see what, if anything, the rest of the transfer window brings before marking out a team for a match in 10 days hence.

Looks good.

While Pinto needs games, perhaps Wisdom at RB for Spurs?

Also maybe Bassong for Bennett for the moment?

Need a good performance from a very difficult Spurs match going forward
