Now that Kuqi has gone to Blackburn (on a free!), it shows just how much impact failing to gain promotion has had on the Binners. All their top players are on their way, while this is amusing to us all, we should all be aware if WE don''t achieve promotion we may be in a similar position next summer.

So do we spend big this summer (gamble) or trust Worthy and the board to be prudent and pick up bargains along the way?

I''m sure Worthy would love to spend big this summer.  But his hands will be tied by the fate of Green and Francis.  As for Ippo, the only reason they are in the mess they are is because they over spent and were very foolish.  Luckily we have sensible people in charge of our football club who wouldn''t make the same mistake

If we aren''t top 6 at the beginning of Jan, we do risk losing our ''stars'' such as Ashton, Greeno (if still here) etc. Hucks looks likely to stay whatever.

However, whilst this would be bad news it wouldn''t be disastrous simply because we HAVEN''T gambled too big. All transfer fees received would likely go straight into Worthy''s buying funds, we wouldn''t see the money go largely to unpaid creditors as is happening at Ipswich (and has happened at lots of other clubs too). This is because we are keeping our finances under control.

We have to continue being financially prudent, whilst taking controlled gambles, as we have been doing. I think the board are doing a great job with the finances, and the squad has been getting progressively better season after season. This will get us back into the Premiership in the end, but agree the sooner the better so we can keep Ashton!
