Kenny Powers 0 Posted June 28, 2005 On Radio Solent, Mandaric says that they enquired on how much Green would cost and he has been quoted £2.5m.For me this seems quite fair (same as Robinson) and would help ion rebuilding the midfield. What do you think? kennyfoggo 0 Posted June 28, 2005 Now just to add to the situation.. City have denied all what Pompey claim.. taken from official siteCITY have moved swiftly to deny claims from Portsmouth that the Canaries have quoted a £2.5m price tag for England ''keeper Robert Green.Pompey Chairman Milan Mandaric allegedly told BBC Radio Solent today: "We were trying to see if Green would be available and for what money. We asked Norwich for information and they told us they would sell him for £2.5m and that''s about all we know."But City Chief Executive Neil Doncaster told First News: "We have seen quotes attributed to Milan Mandaric, the Portsmouth Chairman, apparently suggesting that we have told Portsmouth that we would sell Robert Green for £2.5m."This is totally inaccurate. We have had no contact with Portsmouth whatsoever about Robert Green."We have spoken to Portsmouth expressing our anger and disappointment about their claims, which are wholly without foundation." My first rant on this board and I suddenly feel a whole lot better.

Budgie 0 Posted June 29, 2005 This is just an attempt by Mandaric to unsettle the City players he says he wants. But will it work? Can you really see Francis and Green falling over themselves to sign at the thought of joining Portsmouth? Do me a favour.
