Remember Wembley!

Recommended Posts

Time to get behind the team again. Alex Neil puts a lot of pressure on himself, we need to get behind him and the players now if we are to have any chance.

The hear and now is the manager is calling it a test of character! Not many posters passing that test.
Wasn''t Alex Neils team then.

Is now and he''s slowly ruining it game by game. Him and his coaches and scouts
Wrong alartz, its only maybe a third to half his team. The clubs scouts also helped to give us a good January window. But he is ruining it game by game by picking players he inherited like Martin, Bassong and yes imo, Hoolahan to, when there are, even today, better alternatives available. Also by persisting with putting to many players in unsuitable positions and not having a different set up in formation. Trouble is, Alex has shown he does not have it in him to see whats necessary to give us a chance. Sadly two seasons ago we were the only team that sleep walked into the Champs and  now we are doing it all over again.

I think we all remember Wembley, crisp passing to our own players, hustling the opposition into mistakes, taking our chances when created, defending like there was something on the line, the crowd 100% behind the teams endevours , correct team set up for the occasion and finally BELIEVE!

So what''s happened????

Whilst I''m sure we all remember it vividly you do begin to wonder what was the point of it all.Despite the huge rewards on offer this season nobody in the Club has demonstrated that they are that bothered about being in the PL.The board failed to strengthen the squad sufficiently in the summer when it was obvious that we needed too.The manager abandoned his beliefs, messed up the players and failed to inspire the team. The coaching staff have failed to improve the skills one single player, the organisation of the team or to instill a sufficient work ethic to survive. The players have failed to play to the potential that we know that most of them are capable of.We could have had our day out at Wembley, lost the game with the pride of what had been achieved, had another decent season in the Champioship and still be in the same League as we will be come next August.Wiining the play-off final is increasingly looking like a waste of time & effort.

1985 also. Lovely day out also. Then..........

Wait a moment.... somebody will bring up our more recent lovely day out at Man Yoo last year.

This is not time to look back, we must focus on looking forward and sort this shambles out.
