The other side of the coin is - should we go down, we need someone who knows the championship and to have the players to get out of it . Its a big call and sometimes its a case of careful what you wish for - 13pts min needed from 17 games - cant see where they would come from at the mo.

They''ve learnt nothing. They didn''t do business for the defense in the summer when it was so crucial. Based on recent history we can''t ever trust them to make the correct decision and get things done when they are needed. They fart about too much.

IF Neil gets fired, and he shouldn''t, I think Pearson is the only realistic candidate.

Rodgers and Moyes would see us very much as a step down from the status they have reached.

Then again the board stunned us with Neil so who knows who could be lined up!
