Kevin Friend

Recommended Posts

For the Spuds fans to sing "he''s one of our own" sums up his performance today, although its not the first time he has shafted us! Can we ask that he never refs one of games again or start a petition asking for him to be dropped from the Prem League refs list!!!

Said it before and I''ll say it again

Refs are either incompetent or corrupt or both

FA needs to sort it out

I thought we''d had the fairest refereeing this season in the EPL than ever before, and often the rub of the green - as at Bournemouth, but tonight was awful.

Soft penalty for a tackle far more innocuous than the one into Olsson from Erikson which set up the third.

A penalty turned down for a clear foul and a penalty given when Spurs, Alli aside, didn''t appeal for it.

It was our worst performance of the season tonight, so let''s not forget that. But the performance of Kevin Friend was dreadful. The golden rule is the fact you should ''Be Seen To Be Fair to both teams equally''. And tonight he failed woefully in that area.

Having pulled Naismith up just before our corner was taken in the first half virtually guaranteed that Naismith was not going to get any decisions go his way. And so it proved to be right when he was clattered from behind in the box when the ball was not within playing distance just before half time. I''m sure he would have given it at the other end of the pitch - so why didn''t we get it? The penalty he did give was just wrong - I didn''t see one Spurs player appeal for that. Having watched him move some throw ins back - usually ours - he turned his back when they were taking throws, allowing them to move where they liked - treat both teams equally eh? The third goal was a foul on Olsson before Kane scored no doubt in my mind.

As I said earlier nothing would have changed the outcome of the game Spurs were by far the better team, we just were not at the races. I have heard there has been a bug going round at Colney I don''t know how much of an impact that has had. But we were just not treated equally or fairly tonight. The thing is isn''t it about time we had some more transparency about these Refs as they seem to be untouchable. It never matters how bad (or good) they have been we never get to know anything that may have been reported about them. It''s about time we the supporters were treated better than that. It doesn''t seem to matter to Kevin Friend though because he''s in the middle for Bournemouth v Arsenal on Sunday I wonder if he''ll screw the underdogs up again. My betting is he will...

]Awful decision making based on his own prejudices. We not robbed though

How on earth do you make that one out

2nd and 3rd goals were a disgrace, stonewall Penalty to us not given, possible wrongly allowed disallowed goal, bias all evening. They deserved to win but that''s hardly the fucking point is it?

The bloke was an insult to refs. The linos were terrible as well they didnt even make a call a couple of times.Still amused towards the end when Pinto smacked it into the snake pit and Spurs got a corner, physics defying logic that.

Bang on true

Lino was gesturing at fans where I sit as well.

Was utterly disgraceful. The whole ref team were pure scum and I hope they''re clothes are seized as part of a far eastern mafia betting circle, they are escorted to the outskirts of Norwich and abandoned

Was the Lino (name of West?) in front of the City Stand, the same one we had at Arsenal the other year when he decided to flag for a penalty and we subsequently lost the game?

The lino by the spurs supporters was a joke. The incident where Jarvis was well offside so did not go for the ball and another of our players ran towards the ball and was flagged offside simply beggared belief. I can only assume he thought it was Jarvis.

Was this the lino abusing our supporters ?

The Canaries boss said he spoke to Friend after the game but claimed he offered a sarcastic reply.

"Kevin''s response was, ''Yes it was my fault, it was my fault you''ve

lost the game,'' which isn''t the case, I just felt we didn''t get the fair

decisions," Neil added.

I feel AN is wrong there, OK we didn''t play well but with a ref not so bias towards Spurs, we could have got an unexpected draw !

If he''d not given that ''soft'' penalty but given our, much clearer penalty, and the last goal was off-side !

Putting aside the emotion of losing to a good Spurs side, three points about the referee;

1) it''s wasn''t a penalty, but having given it, he should have sent Bassong off for denying a goal scoring opportunity. I can only assume he bottled it because he quickly knew he''d mistakenly given the pen.

2) in exactly the same scenario (defender fouls Naismith when the ball is nowhere near him), he fails to give a penalty

3) Olsson is ''cleverly'' tripped by Ericksen resulting in the 3rd goal.

The arrogant and derogatory comment to AN after the game is unacceptable. He should be dropped for the next game and asked by the FA to publicly explain his comments - but of course he won''t, as the refs are untouchable.

I certainly felt the ref made it very hard for us to get anything.

Not a penalty and Olson blatantly fouled for the third goal.

I don''t Ben care that I sound bitter anymore. These refs are biased or incompetent. Either way they should be allowed to look at q picture of a football pitch let alone referee on one. Kevin friend and his Lino team shouldn''t be allowed to collectively run an under 5''s potato painting class let alone a top level sporting event.

That''s what I can''t get over. This is the premier league. Millions of pounds are riding on these games and we are given THAT Ada referee? They are all too fat, too old or just brain dead like friend.

Sack them all, and get some that can do the job properly. Because we are all sick of this jobs for the boys celebrity ref knuckle draggers. Go back to clamping old peoples cars or snatching orphans sweets or whatever it is you do when you are not pretending to be a referee.
