norfolkngood 1,086 Posted February 13, 2016 I take it hoolahan on left ? or Naismith ? Naismith is a player who can hurt teams needs to be in around striker not stuck out on the left and hoolahan is often wasted out on the flank be interesting how they set up

AJ 1,218 Posted February 13, 2016 Hoolahoop will be central I imagine, that''s what happened when we stuck two up top last weekend - Naismith came out to the left flank.Gutted at Man Utd result, not looking good, Sunderland starting to pick up points a bit too regularly for my liking
AJ 1,218 Posted February 13, 2016 CanaryFan, only Peter the Deleter has the rights for that!

Surfer 1,547 Posted February 13, 2016 No pressure then. Sunderland win, and Swansea and Bournemouth are also playing at home. If we lose today and they both win it''s clear we are going down. Still, let''s hope to see CR rocking today and the lads grab a well deserved 3 points, if the above teams can do it so can we...
whoareyou? 0 Posted February 13, 2016 Why oh why do managers persist in trying Wes on the left?
AJ 1,218 Posted February 13, 2016 I''m fairly confident it''ll be Hoolahan on the left. Not a good start to the day, but a win will potentially lift us out of the drop zone still!
westcoastcanary 0 Posted February 13, 2016 I thought you were joking until I checked on Twitter.
Binky 0 Posted February 13, 2016 "whoareyou?" asked: "Why oh why do managers persist in trying Wes on the left?"Agreed. Would have preferred Brady in front of Olsson at the expense of Hoolahan. Even if Hoola and Naismith interchange I don''t believe it''s his best position either - but it definitely is Brady''s. But what do I know? I''d also have Bennett in for Bassong. Making Plans 936 Posted February 13, 2016 So is Bennett still on paternity leave?????
Hank shoots Skyler 2,094 Posted February 13, 2016 I don''t mind Hoolahan on the left, very rarely you see him hogging the touchline and his drifting in field should also allow Brady more freedom bombing forwards.I thought the Redmond-Naismith-Hoolahan trio were awesome in the first half against Liverpool, let''s hope they can rediscover that form... Kanadyan Kanary 121 Posted February 13, 2016 All gone a bit quiet at the moment. West Ham seem to be stroking it around the park quite comfortably. We need to get at them. COYY
Syteanric 1 Posted February 13, 2016 we are being opened up way too easily at the back in the opening few minutes.
Gainer the Gopher 0 Posted February 13, 2016 The entire team seems hyper-focusssed on the fundamentals. Like they''ve been drilled on the basics at practice and then sent to read a text book about it too. No silly mistakes today!
Robornio 106 Posted February 13, 2016 Hoolahan on the left just doesn''t work. This is something Paul Lambert realised straightaway after seeing us lose to Brentford away. He''s not quick enough, nor does he get involved in the game. Wes has always been best suited to playing in the centre behind the strikers so he can receive-turn-pass. Anywhere else just doesn''t work.
AJ 1,218 Posted February 13, 2016 I must say I''d rather see Jarvis out there, or Brady with Olsson at LB.Both Hoolahan and Naismith are not wingers, and are wasted out wide
Gainer the Gopher 0 Posted February 13, 2016 Not at all. We''ve got the angles covered nicely so far. That last shot was hard but no way it was going in. Defender and Ruddy left no room for it.
Kanadyan Kanary 121 Posted February 13, 2016 Have to say, Martin seems up for it today. Ruddy seems commanding as well.

Norfolk Dan 308 Posted February 13, 2016 So what is the formation? Is Wes on the left?
Kanadyan Kanary 121 Posted February 13, 2016 We seem to be trying to walk the ball in to the box - no real incisiveness at the moment. We are having to rely on set pieces for our opportunities.
