Allardyce''s managerial nouse will comfortably keep Sunderland up. Newcastle''s quality will keep them up. So the question is not whether we''d rather be in the situation of either Sunderland or Newcastle (I think the answer to that is yes) but whether you think both Bournemouth and Swansea are worse than us. Unfortunately, I think the answer to that is no but if there is a glimmer of hope it is to be found in these teams and not those from the northeast.

It might be a tad optimistic to think Sunderland will only gain 2 more points, especially as they always beat Newcastle. Having said that all is not lost yet. We scored two very good goals against WHU suggesting we have a bit of quality going forward. Conceding at will is a different matter!I reckon it''s a good time to play Leicester - could be an upset.
