Guest Posted February 9, 2016 That''s the spirit. 5/6 games ago I might have agreed with you!We just need to get that win and I think the confidence will be back. Very important to start well and not concede early against West Ham or I think we will capitulate.

Branston Pickle 3,652 Posted February 9, 2016 The way people have been carrying on you''d have been forgiven for thinking we had been cut adrift at the bottom with only a couple of games to go - rather than just being third-bottom with a third of the season remaining. We clearly need to end this dire run, and soon, but there''s surely plenty enough time for our fortunes to turn.

Dean Coneys boots 1,400 Posted February 10, 2016 So we have ZERO points from the last possible 15 and yet you feel confident. Really???! IT is going to take a turn around in confidence and belief, coupled with strong performances from many players currently out of form, to even come close. Of course the maths show it is possible. No we are not adrift yet. But we have some tough games and are rock bottom in terms of current form with an unsettled side. It only gets harder as the line approaches. I think the "fallout of emotion" after the Villa game is because, removing rose tinted specs, that was the day we buried ourselves. I am now fully ready for the fact that we will be relegated. Hairy Canary 696 Posted February 10, 2016 I really hope you''re right but we all can see that something has to change right now against West Ham for that to be remotely possible. Six losses on the trot would be very tough to recover from if we lose.Is AN able to instill the confidence, belief and drive to achieve the upturn in performance? We are bottom of the form league and have lost to out nearest rivals. For some reason I have a sneaky feeling we will do it this Saturday (I''m always confident before the game!) but I have to admit if it doesn''t come this week-end then I don''t think it will. Dean Coneys boots 1,400 Posted February 10, 2016 There is also the fact that teams with the worst defensive records tend to always go down. So our survival is actually hanging on our defence firming up and not conceding the goals it has. Despite a major re-inforcement at CB- the other CB position is still champ standard and both LB and RB are also below par for this division. For that reason... Budapest Canary 152 Posted February 10, 2016 There is no rational reason to say on basis of the last couple of games, but... when AN arrived the only way was up and forward and he handled that situation well. Now we''re in the same situation, ha has to do the same.

Norfolk Mustard 94 Posted February 10, 2016 Q: How do you think the team might perform on Saturday if they absolutely knew 25,000+ home fans were 100% behind them? That''s never going to happen though is it? Even if we were top-of-the-league there would be someone moaning about something. Allowing for say, 1 in 5 fans to be negative & unsupportive against West Ham - that still leaves around 20,000 to make a positive contribution. That''s plenty! If you''re at the game, whatever you decide to do (moan or support), you WILL be having an effect on the outcome. As always it''s up to you what you decide to do. Points-wise, it might be a good idea to consider what you really want to be talking about as you leave the stadium...

birchfest 397 Posted February 10, 2016 A lot to play for, games against Sunderland and Newcastle at home and we have a better squad than the one who went on that mini winning streak over Christmas. I certainly think it''s far from over..... Remember Bournmouth have the run in from hell

Mello Yello 2,289 Posted February 10, 2016 After 6 games of flaccid football we will only ''stay up'' if we change our name to NVFC....Norwich Viagra Football Club......It will certainly be hard but should help us stay up......If we also sign a decent goalkeeper as an emergency loan who''s name is Jimmy Durex (who allegedly saves every shot)......We should come in a credible position toward the climax of the season.....As long as we don''t blow it..... Mind the gap 12 Posted February 10, 2016 Again this Sat we''ve been given quite an advantage, intheory at least. The Hammers had a tough match lastnight. They went to extra time, and looked to havepicked up a few knocks. This is the fourth time sinceXmas we''ve had this leg up. Citeh,Scousers,Spurs and now the Hammers, all had less recovery time.If we look lethargic, lacklustre and bereft of ideas, ashad become the norm. Then whole set up needs lookingat. Surfer 1,547 Posted February 13, 2016 Afraid today confirmed why we will be one of three to go down. Win today and we''d be 1 point behind Swansea and 2 behind Bournemouth. If we had held a similar 2 goal lead against Liverpool we''d have 5 teams below us rather than looking up at Newcastle hoping they lose. It''s done and dusted I''m afraid, we can''t defend and that''s a certain cause of relegation.
canaryrock 0 Posted February 16, 2016 although it is gutting we threw two goal lead away again , i think it far from being done and dusted as we are currently out of the relegation zone there still plenty of hope

Essjayess 307 Posted February 16, 2016 So, how are things going? After the Southampton win i stuck with my 33 points season end and relegation. One or two guys questioned my opinion, saying we only needed maybe 5 wins and a draw or two from the remaining 18 games. So next up is Leicester and Chelsea, sorry but cannot see City getting anything from those games. That would leave 10 games left, STILL needing 5 wins and a draw or two to even reach 38 or 39 points. We may scramble a win, or even two, in that spell when we play Newcastle, Sunderland etc, but whats clear now is, we need a miracle, and Alex does not adapt to miracles, and since when have the Martins and Bassongs given us miracles in the Premier? Guest Posted February 16, 2016 Right now, with Sunderland improving, I''d say it''s us, Newcastle and Villa to go down. But who knows for sure. It''s the Villa defeat that undermines any sense of optimism for me. Especially when you see what Liverpool did to them a week later. If ever there was a match when the lads should have been 100% focused on what needed to be done, it was that game.Looking at the remaining fixtures, I can''t see where the wins will come from now. Our lot have blown it. But time will tell.
