ca 1 Posted November 21, 2015 Yes one silly lack of concentration but didnt we defend well for the rest of the game and didnt Ruddy make some great saves to keep us in the game
morty 0 Posted November 21, 2015 But it doesn''t matter if we defend like lions for 90 minutes, and still come away with no points, its still no points, however you look at it.I was watching the game on South African telly, and they very much focused on this.Individual errors are costing us too often, players need to switch on, and be a bit more streetwise. ca 1 Posted November 21, 2015 Agree Morty that all the positives in the world don''t mean much without points, but if we keep playing so well defensively so as not to concede many goals and then get a few lucky breaks then the points will come.Id be more worried if we were playing really badly but we''re not and silly mistakes can be sorted
hogesar 10,999 Posted November 21, 2015 That and the entire defence didn''t switch on for it.
Yellowfuture 71 Posted November 21, 2015 Quite right Cityangel, 1 nil away to Chelsea doesn''t make me want to start posting negative comments on a board brimming over wih posters eager to have a go.
morty 0 Posted November 21, 2015 It was an avoidable error that lead to costing us a goal.No one here is scapegoating, but it happened, and it was avoidable.

Canary Wundaboy 1,429 Posted November 21, 2015 What cost us a point was being unable to keep hold of the ball further than the halfway line for 80 minutes, inviting wave after wave of constant pressure that finally led to the inevitable breakthrough.Redmond looked like this was the first time he''d even seen a football, and we constantly tried to hoof it upfield to Mbokani against one of the tallest and strongest defences in the league. If we''d kept the ball on the deck, played keepaway and just generally conceded possession less frequently we''d have come away with something. The less said about out penalty appeal the better. unique 467 Posted November 22, 2015 At what point in the season will it be ''too late'' to sort out ''silly mistakes''?This constant theme, that has plagued nearly every defeat so far this season, has blighted what should have been an excellent start to AN''s PL career, and can be laid firmly at the feet of individual players.Alex Neil is doing an excellent job, the players are frustratingly letting him down at a few key moments. grefstad 0 Posted November 22, 2015 Sadly, schoolboy errors and lack of "streetwiseness", is an often recurring theme when talking about Norwich City.Soft touch, no bullies, not enough dirtiness. Some slick tricks now and then is needed, and our players are just too nice (or not smart enough). iron_stan 0 Posted November 22, 2015 i thought we played quite well against a team who could buy our entire squad and still have plenty spare we were lucky, it could have easily been

It''s so simple. I''m actually quite upset you didn''t send in your FM resume when the manager position was open. All we had to do was play keep away from the champions of England. What a silly review. The tactics were sound. It''s as stated in this thread. It''s individual mistakes costing us.
ruthers1 0 Posted November 22, 2015 Schoolboy errors have cost us all season which is why I predicted we''d need 3 goals to win any game.Fortunately RM''s absence has meant mistakes are now at a premium but the odd one still continues to haunt us.It''s always been the case though, Paul Lambert realised it but countered it by playing attacking football that often produced more goals than were gifted at the other end. Hairy Kenneth 0 Posted November 22, 2015 You have been wrong in your prediction-7 times in league games we would have won scoring 2 goals. Shame you continue to ignore that fact. And Russ played in 5 of those 7 games.
lowlyfendweller 0 Posted November 22, 2015 Other teams also have these types of problems, so those who are inclined to shouldn''t worry too much. It just feels worse because it''s us. Most goals come about through somebody making an error at some point.Though I agree this one was particularly painful, you''d hope for more savviness than that. The other 2 wins were achieved by scoring 3 goals were they not?!I''ve had enough of ignorant morons for another week - I''ll be back next week with the Norwich City Christmas Carol 2015.I look forward to sharing that with you all, it''s prophetic!Much love. Hairy Kenneth 0 Posted November 22, 2015 Very rich you calling people ignorant morons. You said we would need to score 3 goals to win a game this season. You have been wrong 7 times. We did not need to score 3 goals in any of those games to win. I can''t make it any clearer-you obviously have difficulty accepting when you are wrong. Prince of Darkness 0 Posted November 23, 2015 We have an inexperienced and naive coach that will be the story of our season unless we replace him now with someone who can do the business.I like the look of the Blackburn Manager as an example

Anyway, I think you''ll find a your prediction that we would need to score 3 goals to win any game this season was proved wrong after 12 games when we won 1-0. That''s kind of how predictions about the season work.
