I was watching the game on South African telly, and they very much focused on this.

Individual errors are costing us too often, players need to switch on, and be a bit more streetwise.

Agree Morty that all the positives in the world don''t mean much without points, but if we keep playing so well defensively so as not to concede many goals and then get a few lucky breaks then the points will come.

Id be more worried if we were playing really badly but we''re not and silly mistakes can be sorted

You''re completely right. It''s so simple. I''m actually quite upset you didn''t send in your FM resume when the manager position was open. All we had to do was play keep away from the champions of England.

Schoolboy errors have cost us all season which is why I predicted we''d need 3 goals to win any game.

Fortunately RM''s absence has meant mistakes are now at a premium but the odd one still continues to haunt us.

It''s always been the case though, Paul Lambert realised it but countered it by playing attacking football that often produced more goals than were gifted at the other end.

Other teams also have these types of problems, so those who are inclined to shouldn''t worry too much. It just feels worse because it''s us. Most goals come about through somebody making an error at some point.

Anyway, I think you''ll find a your prediction that we would need to score 3 goals to win any game this season was proved wrong after 12 games when we won 1-0.  That''s kind of how predictions about the season work.
