Bradwell canary 109 Posted December 1, 2015
Single goals let in against Arsenal and Chelsea and a clean sheet against Swansea. Ruddy is part of a back 5 currently performing efficiently ... why unsettle anything?
The improvement has not been due to Ruddy. no one can get away from the fact he has cost us points, which will be very valuable points this season.Look even he said in the press he was not at his best. What more evidence is needed to drop him for a while. Katie Borkins 1 Posted December 1, 2015 AN has shown he is ready and willing to shake the team up when he feels it gives us an advantage. Look at the Man City and Arsenal team selections. If AN thinks Ruddy, despite his apparent shortage of form, is better suited than Rudd then I see nothing left to debate. Mooney 0 Posted December 2, 2015 NOW!!!I''d rather than Whittaker at right back or Gary Doherty up front than Ruddy in goal.
It's Character Forming 1,160 Posted December 2, 2015
Aside from the obvious error for the goal and the numerous other poor kicks, I can''t see that anyone''s mentioned the rediculous star jump he did in front of the Barclay in the second half?!
It''s a fair point - good job Basso was there behind him to hook it clear. It's Character Forming 1,160 Posted December 2, 2015 And looking at the last 3 games, fact is that Ruddy wasn''t really tested much. Swansea - not much of a threat. Chelsea- couple of good saves when he stood up and made himself big. For the goal, it was well placed but not a particularly powerful low shot and we know that''s not his strength so while it would be harsh To criticise him, I can''t help wondering whether Rudd would have got his fingers to turn it round. Arsenal - again not really tested, one hard shot directly at him, the goal as discussed was down to 3 city players making mistakes but the main mistake from Ruddy, and the incident mentioned above.Actually it''s a testimony to our back 4, and the way the whole team defended, that we can look back on these games and say our goalie hasn''t been that busy.It doesn''t mean we shouldn''t consider changing him for an understudy who IMO is looking better in the position at the moment.
