As I''ve repeatedly said, if we had ANY semblance of even a decent striker the year we got relegated we would have survived. Had nothing to do with the defense and partially due to Hughton, however with anyone other than Hooper or RVW we survive.

Hooper is technically our best striker (Mbokani aside), his first touch, strength on the ball, finishing and overall style always reminded me of a scaled down- in terms of quality, Wayne Rooney.

However the difference in mentality between Hooper, Rooney, and indeed, any of our other options up front is ridiculous...Hooper with Grabban''s work rate and determination would certainly be some player, it''s a shame that he''d rather play golf and eat fast food.
