Other teams more fluid AN tactis to static ?

Recommended Posts

when you watch other teams they always seem faster / tactics more fluid a lot less static

watching the games over the weekend other teams interchange so much better wingers swapping , midfielders in the box , fullbacks over lapping players roaming everywhere with ease pulling teams all over the pitch ,

the way Watford pressed us was fantastic but we seem scared to leave our postion to press them back

we seem far to static players set in the positions scared to roam move about the pitch seems over coaching over instruction from the management / coaching

Yep, would all have hoped for more I''m sure, too many silly individual mistakes costing goals and points, but also mitigating circumstances in certain games also could apply (ref v palace at least a point, goalkeeping heroics v stoke) to add a sense of balance.

It''s not all about us, it depends on what the opposition do. If there''s limited space and high pressing (like Watford did to us) then we find it hard to get into the game.

If teams sit off us and attack us (Arsenal) then we can break and do our thing.

yes but if we were less static it gives the other team more to think about

we just seem to rigid sticking to positions

in my opinion or course

That''s a strange comment about Newcastle. Did you watch the game? I thought we were quite fluid that day. Certainly a lot more so than yesterday.

There was nothing wrong with our early performances which were in general good apart from we didn''t defend set pieces correctly. Trouble is we''ve thrown the baby out with the bath water, when really it shouldn''t have needed a defensive approach to games just defensive concentration/organisation when we give a set piece away.
