grefstad 0 Posted December 12, 2015
Did I miss the post where you expected us to beat Everton hence your disappointment with a well fought point Gref?
Nah. I had a significant bet on Everton X2 when I saw the useless Martin starting, and if I had lost that bet, Norwich would have won (and I''d be very happy with that). As it turned out, the point gained was a useful one, and I won my bet. Realism always pays.

nutty nigel 7,900 Posted December 12, 2015 What odds was a realistic X1?I doubt you made anybet to include a point for city when you ''realistically'' expected a hammering. I sense real disappointment on here tonight about our hard fought and valuable point.
grefstad 0 Posted December 12, 2015 1X was around 1.55, and X2 was 1.42 when I posted the bet (bet365).I quite often bet against Norwich in games I feel Norwich should pick up points, as I can afford to eventually lose the money, in exchange for a much needed Norwich win. If Norwich fail to win, at least the bet winnings lessen the blow somewhat.
Indy 3,471 Posted December 12, 2015 And in a game where we could have been 4 nil down at half time, a valuable point appears to be nothing in the event of two big wins for Bournemouth.Whilst it was a good comeback from a poor first half it doesn''t sit as a point gained more another game gone without a win.Man U & Spurs up next are big games, Villa and Southampton to come, vital that we get a big win soon!We might well be bottom three come Monday, but May is a long way off, let''s hope we don''t resort to requiring a Leicester type miracle.Good battling point, but feels like a loss today! JF 694 Posted December 12, 2015 I know people that always bet against Norwich every match, is a win, win situation. I had Lukaku to score anytime in our match today, easiest money I''ll make this weekend as was nailed on.
nutty nigel 7,900 Posted December 12, 2015 Well its nice to know we have two posters so good at predicting our games. Why don''t you help support the Norwich Downes Syndrome team on Rays Funds? Norfolkchance1 did the business today selecting 1-1 and also a draw in a which both teams scored.Next weeks thread will be up on Wednesday evening. I''m also looking for someone to select the bets for our game Jan 16th. Which of you would like to do it?
JF 694 Posted December 12, 2015 I very rarely touch our games tbf. I make over 1k a month of the bookies so there is no room for sentiment there.
nutty nigel 7,900 Posted December 12, 2015 That''s brilliant JF. So we have you to help us with the final six games and Greff with the Norwich games. I think we have a great team but the addition of you two professionals can only improve it. The Downes Syndrome team will be playing in a new kit every week :)
JF 694 Posted December 12, 2015 Final 6 games? Take it you mean an accumulator then? You won''t make money out of gambling doing accumulators. Single bets only.
nutty nigel 7,900 Posted December 12, 2015 Do you think we''re doing it wrong then? It''s OK though, youonly have to make one selection. Just a single team to win from anywhere in the world each week. I reckon you''ll win our pups league at a canter....
JF 694 Posted December 12, 2015 teams to win? Poor market to choose from. Over 2.5 goals and both teams to score are far more profitable. Forget the PL. leagues like the Belgian Jupiter league and Norwegian tipplegean etc are the places to look. There is a saying accumulators for show and singles for a pro. It''s right. JF 694 Posted December 12, 2015 That''s jupiler bloody predictive text!
nutty nigel 7,900 Posted December 12, 2015 So all these years we''ve been doing it wrong! Who''d hav thought it!! It''s OK though because you can pick from any league you want. You won''t get a go at the final selections for his season because that honour goes to last seasons top 40. If you start next week there''s still enough weeks left for you to win our league and have a go with the final selections next season. It''s free for the rest of the season. You can contribute a tenner next season if you want. But you don''t have to. Only those who can afford to pay a tenner for the whole year make that donation. But I reckon you could easy afford a tenner once a year from all those winnings each month. Can''t wait to have you on board!
JF 694 Posted December 13, 2015 I love the sarcasm in your post. It really does amuse me. You probably think I''m talking 💩 but I''m really not. If you''re doing accumulators your doing it very wrong. It''s great fun I''ll admit watching the selections drop in but inevitably one will 99 per cent of the time let you down. Teams to win is a really poor market choice. How many people do you think lost on bets today by putting United to beat Bournemouth? Had they gone over 2.5 goals or both teams to score they win. If you want accumulators at big odds you''re far better doing 3 or 4 both teams to score and win selections. Incredibly hard to predict but the odds can be massive. nutty nigel 7,900 Posted December 13, 2015 You probably think I''m dumb but I''m really not. If you seriously want to make money betting then you need a unique angle to give you an edge and then where ever possible play in pools where there''s a lot of less informed bets. Or take on other punters who don''t have an edge. You also need nerves of steel, its no good having a meltdown like you did at halftime today. But most important of all you have to put the hours in to make sure you keep that edge. There''s no freebies out there. I don''t bother now. Have to give up too much and its too stressful. One team to win next weekend from anywhere in the world, tthat''s all we need. The profitability table would probably appeal to you. There are some impressive numbers on that this season.See you Wednesday.

nutty nigel 7,900 Posted December 13, 2015 I''m sure you do. Which is why you''re going to be such a great asset on Rays Funds and a real blessing to those DS boys and girls. :)
Faded Jaded Semi Plastic SOB 1,219 Posted December 13, 2015 JF why dont you join Rays Funds and help a very good cause?, you have absolutely nothing to lose.......
JF 694 Posted December 13, 2015 I''d give it a go but as I''ve said I don''t like to win markets it''s too unpredictable. As said tend to stick to over 2.5 or 3.5 goals and both teams to score. Goals are far easier to predict than wins and teams tend to follow trends. For example had you bet £100 on both teams to score in every Norwich match this season you''d be in profit. JF 694 Posted December 13, 2015 Where did I say they were making money!?? I said I know people that bet against us every game and it''s win, win situation.
