Rays Funds for the CSF with the Pink un Pickers Week 19

Recommended Posts

The Belgian Second Division.SV Roeselare to win at home against Heist.SV Roeselare have a very so-so 3-4-1 and 11/10 home record, but are in good recent form, with four wins and a draw.Heist, with a 0-3-6 and 9/24 away record, have lost their last eight league matches. The current odds are 1/6.---For the NCFC bet I suggest Ryan Bennett to score anytime.Good luck to all!

Hi everyone thanks for the help and suggestions for the match bet which I''ll come to later, quite similar to my own sentiments in many respects.

First of all I''ll give my usual nap, which this week will be Portsmouth to beat Hartlepool at home in league 2. Good luck Kathy and all!

For the match bet. I think Everton are a decent side and seem to have a knack of scoring most matches, seem to remember Barkley taking a liking to us but I also think they are beatable and believe we will score, and feel draw is a possibilty. Also if think it is only a matter of time before Bassong and Howson score. So here goes.

1. Ross Barkley to score anytime.

2. Norwich to win HT/Draw FT

3. 1-1 Draw

4. HT Draw/ FT Norwich

5. Bassong to score anytime

6. Howson to score anytime

7. Everton to win 2-1 (sorry)

8. Both teams to score in a draw

9. Howson to score first in a 1-0 win

10. Bassong to score anytime in 2-1 win

Hope this is ok Nutty, didn''t take note of odds but all bets were on bet365 site. Enjoyed the experience, lets hope we get a decent result tomorrow.

Sir said I could pick when I got home from the Dial House so there.

I’ve thought long and hard about this. I was very tempted to use the tried and trusted formulae that worked so well on the previous two attempts, i.e. choosing the picks of the current top six. However I think I’d be pushing my luck with that one – I’m not sure that would come off three times on the trot. Also some of them have made the same picks this week. So I hope you will permit me to indulge myself here.

You may be aware that a team I was in, The Nelson Numpties, recently won the CSF quiz at the football club (I may have mentioned it a few times, Til1010 may have mentioned it a few times). To this day I’m still not quite sure how we managed it - I think the force must have been with us on the night. So I’m going to try to squeeze just a little bit more of that magic out for the PUPs bet. Five of the six team members are regular contributors to this thread (hang your head in shame CUSDP) and I’m going to choose their selections.

First up is Graham Humphrey with Cheltenham to beat Chelmsford in the FA Trophy.

Next up is music specialist Hammond 1612 with Wigan to beat Blackpool.

Til1010 (One correct answer) is responsible for Barcelona v Deportivo home win.

Diesel Doris (Patricia) = Bayern Munich v FC Ingolstadt home win,

And my pick (meteorology specialist) is Doncaster to beat Crewe.

As only five of us are here, for the sixth I’ll choose the captain of one of the losing teams - Nutty Nigel 😀😀😀😀 for the sixth. His pick is Atletico Madrid v Athletic Bilbao home win.

Apologies t o those of you whose excellent selections I havent used. You can all give me Paddington stares if this goes t*ts up, and to soften the blow I’ll stick another tenner in the pot if it loses.

Fingers crossed….

Thank you Kathy, I love these! Ray would have loved this strategy too. As I said in the OP you reflect all that I really like about supporting our club and these selections are a continuation of that theme. For me the money we raised can only be eclipsed by the community we have formed both online and for those that it''s possible offline too. They look really good too! Just a little concerned that the captain of one of the losing teams is involved....

I''ve placed them with Bill Hill and the potential return is a very healthy £58.98. Here are the details : -

Bayern Munich

1/12

14:30 Sat

Cheltenham

1/3

15:00 Sat

Barcelona

1/12

15:00 Sat

Wigan

4/9

15:00 Sat

Doncaster

8/13

15:00 Sat

Atletico

8/13

17:15 Sun

So there''s five tomorrow afternoon and then the last one Sunday tea time. Here''s hoping for a City 2-1 win after drawing at half-time and with goals from Howson and Bassong followed by five winners naps coming in followed by a losers miracle. Not a lot to ask so let''s get that PUP power ready to go[:)]

Hi all,

Apologies for my tardiness this week - I always make a habit of backing one of the picks if I''m late so between Wigan and Doncaster I''ll go for Wigan please.

good luck everyone!
