Rays Funds for the CSF with the Pink un Pickers Week 19

Recommended Posts

Welcome to week nineteen of

our Rays Funds season. This week we have another superstar  in charge of the final six selections as Kathy

will is in the hot seat. Kathy is having a fantastic season in both of our PUPs

leagues. She has 15/17 88% correct picks showing a profit of £5.46. Kathy has

also twice won with the final selections so is on a hat-trick this weekend. A

lot of us know Kathy well from home and away games and socially in the Nelson

where she is a fully fledged Nelson Numpty. In fact Kathy was a member of the

victorious Nelson Numpties team at the CSF quiz. She also always supports us at

our PUPs socials and presentations. In fact Kathy reflects all the things that

I find important in supporting our beloved football club. So let’s give her the

ammunition for that hat-trick with our very best selection from the games

played on Sat/Sun/Mon of this weekend listed on the William Hill or Bet 365 web

sites.

This weekend we

have Norfolkchance1 in charge of the Norwich selections for the game against

Everton. Norfolk has been with Ray’s Funds since the very start and Ray really

valued his contributions as we all still do. This is Norfolk’s first attempt at

the match selections but he’s twice won with the final six selections. His name

is already twice on Ray’s signature because it was Norfolkchance1 who suggested

Arrdee should keep on his signature a running total of the funds raised. I

think it was less than £100 at the time and now we have over £4,300. None of us

ever imagined we’d raise so much! Go for it Craig, you have a tenner to spend however

you please from the PUPs selections and your own.

Time to publish

the rota for January 2016. Please indicate with your selections if the dates

are suitable.

Now I’ll hand the thread over to Kathy and Norfolkchance1. Remember

theres no pressure because we are

all going to be doing our best to help you to success. We all stand together

with the single aim of raising money for the Community Sports Foundation.

Good luck all you PUPs... take it away Kathy and Craig ... the thread is

yours.......

At odds greater than evens, I can''t see much better than a Man United win away at Bournemouth. They might be out of the Champions League, hence the unusually attractive odds, but can use this setback to go for it in the Premier League.

Sorry to be a copycat and not bring anything new to the table, but I''ll go with 93vintage''s shout of Man United to win at Bournemouth. Good odds, that. For the Norwich game, how about Norwich/Draw on the HT/FT at 14/1?Good luck all...

As for Norfolk''s city bet I think a draw is both a good bet and a likely outcome.

Once again caught in two minds and trying to find the holy grail between defence and attack, I can see a good, worthy performance against decent, well-drilled opposition.

1-1 with perhaps all goals in the first half and a clean sheet for all second half.

Saluti and salute! to Kathy and Norfolk...

Parma 🍝🍝🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹👌👌🙅🙅👏👏🎄🎄🏆🏆💰💰💁

Thanks for the intro Eddie. Honoured to be asked to do it again. There have been some tricky weeks recently with F A cup banana skins and international dead rubbers, so I''m grateful to have sidestepped these and been asked to do a reasonably ''normal'' week. Looking forward to trawling through all your selections folks, so keep them coming.

For my own pick I choose Doncaster to beat Crewe.

City''s game? I can see no further than a draw, so I''ll select 1-1.

For the Norwich bet I''d expect a low-scoring game, as borne out by the home and away records of each team. I''d suggest sticking an equal amount on the following :-Everton/Everton   3/1Draw/Draw             9/2Draw/Everton        5/1Everton/Draw      12/1Maybe put slightly more on the first two and combine with under 3.5 goals @ 4/11.Maybe go for a 0-0, 1-1 or a 1-0, 2-1 Everton win, it''s hard to predict a scorer if you''re not expecting many goals.

Good luck Kathy & Norfolkchance1.
As I haven''t got anything right so far I''m going for an Everton win, at 6/4.  That should guarantee us 3 points.
For the match bet, 3-0 to Everton at 25/1, again using reverse psychology.

Another week, another risky cup competition and Cheltenham to beat Chelmsford in the FA Trophy. For the Norwich bet, it''s about time we saw a direct free-kick scored so how about Brady to find the net.Best of luck Patricia... er, sorry, I mean Kathy, Norfolk and all PUPs.Nutty - 30th January would be great.  Bring ''it'' on, as they say.  Whatever ''it'' is...

Newport County started the season appallingly ( bottom only a few weeks ago but since the appointment of John Sheridan they have improved week on week. This week they travel to Notts County who have been inconsistent this season at tasty odds of 7/2 I think the bookies may be for once being overly generous on this one.

Notts County V Newport County Away win

As for the Norwich Game, Everton have impressed me every time I''ve seen them on TV ( with the exception of Manure) they may just have a little too much for us at the moment I''d predict an Everton win 2-1.
