Not good enough!!!!

Recommended Posts

Clearly the title of the post is ironic.

We''re not the best team in the world, Neil is no more of a genius or a worse manager than he was before the match; the board are not better or worse than they were before the match.

We should be proud but not overreact to the victory as we shouldn''t have overreacted previously. We''re having a good go at it, get behind the team and we''ve got a good chance!

I''m more than glad to be a City supporter today.  Fancy being a Manure supporter watching that rubbish with that carp manager, having spent all that money.  Oh dear.

But Neill is starting to think tactically. Gradually getting there. He should be the finished article as a manager by the time he reaches 50

Haha, he''s learning, he''s young - we''re not going to get a Wenger or Pellegrini. Let''s accept that and stick by him and the team!

Indeed, Alex Neil is learning and learning fast. Given our status and means, we can hardly expect more.

This win at Old Trafford should inject a huge amount of belief regarding what''s possible for the rest of the season...

We have had some really good results against the "bigger teams" beating Man U, draws against Liverpool, Arsenal, Everton, defeats by a single goals to Man City and Chelsea. In previous PL years our goal difference would have taken a big hammering. Need to take these performances into games against teams in the bottom half of the table and we will be fine.

Lots of positives to take from today, without getting carried away. poor first 20/25, but after that we were decent, we survived little ''wobbles'' that would previously led to capitulation, (see last 3 games at OT). Very important goal for and from Jerome, confidence restored big time. Brady had a quiet game, but thats ok, he''s been v good overall. wes, despite not being at his best still caused them trouble. defence decent. Alex Tettey, without the goal, still had a good game and the Congo Contingent , came on at the right time to cause them fresh problems. Redders seems to have woken up.

But we want more, so yep, not good enough. but it''ll do, for now.

I was impressed with City today, as I have been with 80-90% of the performances this season. I think that Neil has done a brilliant job so far, he is an amazing motivator and if we can finish 16th this year that will be an amazing achievement, especially as he has been handicapped in the first half of the season due to the shambolic summer transfer window. The worry I have, is that we will have another disastrous transfer window overseen by our illustrious "footballing board". Then we could have a very real concern that AN feels he hasn''t received the backing he deserves and much like a previous up and coming Scottish manger will get his head turned by a "bigger" club. Which, of course, would lead to us having to put up with Waveney demanding the reinstatement of another Scottish messiah for the next three years.

God forbid, Waveney can be quite amusing when he drops the Messiah Bull5h1t.

The board backed Hughton to the tune of 35 mil, problem is that the money was wasted.

If we stay up, our budget will increase accordingly in line with the increased revenue that the football club will receive; it will then be up to Alex Neil to spend it wisely
