Van wink 2,994 Posted December 12, 2015 We''re coming for you.Nice handshake with AN before the game.
Indy 3,471 Posted December 12, 2015 Is he the answer? 18 goals in well over 100 games for a half decent Everton team not exactly the striker we need and the same age as the other three not quiet good enough strikers we have.
Katie Borkins 1 Posted December 12, 2015 I''d love him here, and think he could link midfield and attack very effectively.
nutty nigel 7,900 Posted December 12, 2015 Hope so Winky. I think he''d be a great fit at our club. I''d love to see him here.
morty 0 Posted December 12, 2015 He will score more goals than Hooper, Lafferty, Grabban, and possibly Jerome.
Indy 3,471 Posted December 12, 2015 Will he? Why Morty, hasn''t for a good Everton team!
Van wink 2,994 Posted December 12, 2015 Would be a good fit and probably available within our financial framework of price and wages.
mrs miggins 0 Posted December 12, 2015 Should definitely try to get him for the right price. He''s nothing special though, but certainly a player that will be a very welcome addition, especially as Wes will be moving on soon no doubt.
Cantiaci Canary 610 Posted December 12, 2015 A forward of any higher quality would be beyond our reach. Can certainly see this happening ... and hope it does.
grefstad 0 Posted December 12, 2015 We are more in need of striker who can make chances on his own sometimes, due to the stylecwe play (little service for the strikers).Naismith needs to be served, and it remains to be seen if he is a fit. Decent player, honest player, will give his all, but is he better than what we got?I hope we are now buying players that fit our system, not the opposite way around. Tetteys Jig 851 Posted December 12, 2015 Skillful, versatile player who can score goals and create and runs his socks off. What''s not to like?Yes he''s not going to score all the goals we need, but we can''t rely on Wes alone to pull the strings going forward. I feel he''d be a useful player and would be one of them who would stick around and be far too good for the Championship if the worst did happen.
CanaryOne 0 Posted December 13, 2015 Would be a totally uninspiring signing and we could do with getting rid of our Scottish contingent not adding to it .
spencer 1970 214 Posted December 13, 2015 I think we need something else and someone with Premiership experience in the final third. Add to the the fact that along with new "star" Brady, Wes is it the most likely person to have any involvement in a goal, and he''s 33...then bring it on. Naismith has an edge of class and I believe could be a better player being the big fish in a smaller pond. Just a hunch.
toftwood 4 Posted December 13, 2015
Would be a totally uninspiring signing and we could do with getting rid of our Scottish contingent not adding to it .
You are, without doubt a total prat!!
Red Rufus 56 Posted December 13, 2015 Good point, I have to agree with you. Idiots like that make this forum pathetic at times. Yet another idiotic statement.
93vintage 16 Posted December 13, 2015 A loan might be okay, but buying a 29 year old whose best days are behind him doesn''t look like a wise move. When you''re in a hole, it''s a good idea to stop digging.
vos 175 Posted December 13, 2015 Nice little tidy player but would really be no improvement on existing midfielders of a similar ability.
norfolkngood 1,174 Posted December 13, 2015 I would play him instead of Redmond any day of the week !!
iron_stan 0 Posted December 13, 2015 good playerwill dominate championship defences for us next season
Prince of Darkness 0 Posted December 13, 2015 If this is the height of our ambition we should all give up now!Increasingly doomed I tell you doomed!!!!!!
ZLF 334 Posted December 13, 2015 93vintage - with wisdom & jarvis we are already at the loan deal limit - so its either buy Naismith or leave him there (unless we sign Jarvis - cant see it being wisdom while he persists his forlorn anfield dream)
Van wink 2,994 Posted December 29, 2015 It looks like it''s happening, well done all concerned.
Katie Borkins 1 Posted December 29, 2015
Will he? Why Morty, hasn''t for a good Everton team!
He''s scored 3 goals in the 453 minutes he''s played for Everton this season. Given the form of Barkley and Lukaku, it''s not surprising he hasn''t played more.I can see him getting 5 or 6 for us in the rest of the season.
ca 1 Posted December 29, 2015 5/6 goals from him for the last half of the season will help us no end if you''re right Mr Chops ( wish you''d revert to that name don''t like the Bor ID lol )
Felixfan 53 Posted December 29, 2015 We can do a lot better.
Indy 3,471 Posted December 29, 2015 I don''t think so, we need to remember who we can afford and attract, this would improve what we have and January is all about improvement to give us the best chance of staying up.Might not get us the goals but will no doubt give us an option to Wes, when needed.Still think 8 million is a lot of money, but heck then Redders must be worth 15 million. lake district canary 4,813 Posted December 29, 2015
Would be a good fit and probably available within our financial framework of price and wages.
I don''t rate him that highly, but I think you are right. He won''t be a Darren Huckerby type, but will score the odd goal and contribute well to the continuing general upgrading of the squad.
Van wink 2,994 Posted December 29, 2015 Definately not a Hucks but nevertheless a very good player who will improve the squad. That''s all we can reasonably expect in a January window. There now seems to be more questioning whether the deal is on, my view is it will go through, there''s enough smoke now for there to be a fire. JF 694 Posted December 29, 2015 As I put on the other Naismith thread, I was told a couple of months ago by a player that it was just a case of sorting the finance and he wants to come. But until he is unveiled its never 100 per cent
