lappinitup 629 Posted January 2, 2016 Ed Balls should take lead from East Anglian rival''s style of chairmanshiphttp://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/news-and-comment/ed-balls-should-take-lead-from-east-anglian-rivals-style-of-chairmanship-a6793556.htmlTheir last chairman sold the ship down the river to stop it sinking and the current one is trying to keep it afloat with driftwood. And we should take a lead from them? Yeah, right. [:)]
Nuff Said 5,118 Posted January 2, 2016 I''ve just (tried) to read the article and am perplexed at what it''s actually trying to say. Appointing Balls as chairman is "fairly inspired" but he should be like the old traditional football chairmen? But then saying the likes of Leicester and Southampton (presumably "new" style) who ruthlessly got rid of managers are actually effective? Eh?
Barclay seats 4849 the 3rd 0 Posted January 2, 2016 Baffling ! I doubt that there is an 1p5wich supporter who would think that their chairmen have done them too many favours let alone anybody unbiased .Just goes to show how little these journalists actually know about what they write articles on . Legend Iwan 30 Posted January 2, 2016 Guessing you read the headline and not the article, considering they''re on about Ipswich''s chairmanship from the 70s to early 90s.It''s a naff piece anyway, merely written to have a cheap pop at Labour. The caption under the picture is amusing, though.
Thirsty Lizard 3,158 Posted January 2, 2016 I tried to read the article and lost the will to live after 4 paragraphs. The writing is typical of the kind of convoluted, affected rubbish that you sometimes get in the Independent and the Guardian. It seems that some journalists think it makes them look clever to write this tangled nonsense.

PurpleCanary 5,557 Posted January 2, 2016 It is a quite dreadful piece of writing in every respect and the sub who left the author''s name off did them quite a favour.

Grant Holts Moustache 105 Posted January 2, 2016 I don''t think you can even call it journalism Swindon. That would imply some form of opinion or news and that article offers nothing. It makes James Kent look like an informed writer.
