gitto 0 Posted January 2, 2016 Only one striker on the bench. Does that mean Grabban and lafferty are gone or on their way
Syteanric 1 Posted January 2, 2016 good attacking lineup. i''m liking that!we look better defensively without Olsson who i''d actually like to see played on the wing instead.

wcorkcanary 4,784 Posted January 2, 2016 It probably just confirms what we all Know, Jerome and Dave are first two strikers to play 1 up, they both are also first choice if we need to go 2 up. If one gets injured and we need to go 2 up then 2nd front man will be Brady or Redders, both better all round than Grabban and Laffs ( though i cant fault Laffs, he''s done everything thats been asked, he just hasnt been asked to do that much )
unique 466 Posted January 2, 2016 Thank-you, Mane............dropped to bench for disciplinary reasons.....
wcorkcanary 4,784 Posted January 2, 2016 Mane turned up for training in Man utd training Gear yesterday, singing Glory , Glory Man utd, and carrying a scrpt for a guest appearance on Corrie.Koeman was not amused.

Syteanric 1 Posted January 2, 2016 unlucky Howson!!!1st 10 minutes we''ve looked much better than Southampton .
AJ 1,359 Posted January 2, 2016 Just noticed that Mr Jenkins.A good swap imo, adds a bit more stability in the middle
Rudolph Hucker 0 Posted January 2, 2016 Happy New Year everyone. What a poor quality game so far. If either side were facing a top side they would be 3 down by now.We can''t afford to be so profligate.
Gainer the Gopher 0 Posted January 2, 2016 Nice defensive covering by Hoolahan!Rudd sure appreciated it :)
Kanadyan Kanary 129 Posted January 2, 2016 Couple of concerns at this stage: Can''t see who our best player is - no-one standing out.We are giving the ball away a lot in the middle of the park.Shane Long is winning a lot of balls against our central defenders. Positive point - we have created a couple of good chances.
AJ 1,359 Posted January 2, 2016 Sunderland take the lead against Aston Villa. Boo!Need at least a draw from Villa today if not a win!
Syteanric 1 Posted January 2, 2016
Sunderland take the lead against Aston Villa. Boo!Need at least a draw from Villa today if not a win!
if results stay as they are we are 6 points clear of Sunderland with 4 other teams below us and an 8 better goal difference...I Really don''t care what happens in the Villa game so long as we don''t lose. iron_stan 0 Posted January 2, 2016 should be 2 up by now
Rudolph Hucker 0 Posted January 2, 2016 I''ll take 0-0 at half-time with the chance for Alex to wake the players up.This is a winnable game for sure and a win would be huge for us being back to back and capping a fine Christmas period. How Mbokani hasn''t scored is beyond me. I''d prefer Jerome. If Southampton score first I can''t see us getting anything. This is a big half coming up in the context of the season.Redmond looks capable of something today. ron obvious 1,711 Posted January 2, 2016 You really think Jerome would have scored from the half chances Mbokani has had? I don''t think so.
yoda 0 Posted January 2, 2016 Our final ball has been poor today but we are in the game so fingers crossed. What we wouldn''t give for a Dean Ashton type player,it doesn''t seem to matter which forward we play they just don''t cut the mustard.
Making Plans 957 Posted January 2, 2016
Redmond looks capable of something today.
He needs to wake his ideas up - far to casual & sloppy and simple passes keep going stray
Budapest Canary 154 Posted January 2, 2016 Could be 3-3. Our passing improved compared to the Villa game. Great to see Declan gaining confidence. Mbokani should have taken at least one of his chances. We should take three points, we can do it.
Kanadyan Kanary 129 Posted January 2, 2016 Little change from the first half. We need some spark to get us going.

Kanadyan Kanary 129 Posted January 2, 2016 Any one of Howson, Hoolahan and Redmond could be changed - none of them having any impact on this game.

Gainer the Gopher 0 Posted January 2, 2016 Villa have tied it. WBA. up one vs Stoke. I can see our game ending 0 - 0. But I hope not. Just 0 for them.
