Rich T The Biscuit 676 Posted January 2, 2016 The sooner we get him tied down to another year the better. The kind of player that goes completely unnoticed but it''s no coincidence that we look more solid when he plays and his work rate and commitment makes us tick. Lewis DW 30 Posted January 2, 2016 His work-rate is flawless. Doesn''t strike me as a player who is looking to move on.That said, if we stay up this year, we don''t know if Gary will be part of next seasons plan. May bring someone completely new in etc... That said, he always gives his all, fights for every ball and is a fantastic professional.
Grant Holts Moustache 113 Posted January 2, 2016 Was a bit of a mixed bag from him today, good at spreading the play but got caught a few times and had the ball taken off of him. I would give him another year though even as a squad player. He clearly has an influence on those around him and the noises from Alex Neil suggest a big presence behind the scenes too. Tetteys Jig 851 Posted January 2, 2016 Biggest surprise of the season, but no surprise he''s keeping mulumbu and dorrans out of the side. He brings calmness and composure to the side that we''ve badly lacked in his absence.
sonyc 6,144 Posted January 2, 2016 A class act in the Prem. Solid, rarely gives the ball away and delivers a decent corner when called upon. Not afraid to show leadership either on the pitch

Redders Right Foot 22 Posted January 2, 2016 As some have said, he may not be in the first team next year should we stay up. Having said that though, it shouldn''t be underestimated how big of an impact having someone like him just in the squad can have. Bags of experience and a natural leader. I''d much rather have him til he retires than bouncing around teams in the championship.
