How Do You Solve a Problem Like Redmond?

Recommended Posts

Do you think AN may have rubbished him up a bit over the last few weeks to put off any potential buyers? Told him to slow play down a bit and stop taking on defenders kind of thing?
With respect, that is in the top 10 outbreaks of "stupid" I have ever seen on this message board.
Well he has been a bit cr@p the last 3 games no? Just a coincidence then.

Here are a few facrs about Redmond from this season...

Current top scorer

2nd most chances created

And from last season...

Most chances created in the whole squad

Scored 1 and set up 2 in the playoff semi v Ipswich

Scored in the playoff final

All this despite not yet being 22 and not being an automatic starter every week.

Why is he a ''problem'' that needs solving? He is a talented young winger who some of our fans seem to think should be the finished article and single handedly taking apart Premier League defences. Sure he is frustrating but then so is Wes. Sometimes I really feel some of our fans would rather have consistent and hardworking mediocrity (see the outpouring of love for Elliott Bennett) over actual, real talent.

Well he''s a good player who''s a bit inconsistent due to relative inexperience at the top level leading to some wrong decisions being made.

Best answer? Buy another right winger of premier league standard so that we can rotate him out when he''s off form, giving him time to rest and taking some of the pressure off him.

Or if the coffers are bare hopefully Vadis can get match fit so he can be used when Redders is having an off day.
