Rays Funds for the CSF with the Pink un Pickers Week 23

Recommended Posts

Welcome to week twenty three of

our Rays Funds season. This week we have our great friend Inchy in charge of

selecting the final six results. Inchy has been an amazing supporter of Rays

Funds since the very start. Ray thought really highly of him as do I. He’s a

former PUPs champion and has won with the final selections on FOUR previous

occasions. That’s an absolutely amazing achievement. Bernie is also a top man

with a great family. Can he equal Yankee’s five wins with a winning six this

week? I think he has every chance even though it’s FA Cup third round day. So

let’s all find him some really good suggestions from the games played on

Sat/Sun/Mon of this weekend that are listed on the William Hill or Bet 365 web

sites.

Duncan Edwards

is making the Norwich selections for the cup game against Manchester City. Duncan’s

a top PUP who bravely agreed to do this week before the cup draw was made. It’s

not an easy game because team selection is a big unknown for the individual

player bets. So we will have to be imaginative with our suggestions to help

Duncan get a return and I know he’d love to get his name on Ray’s signature. Duncan,

you

have a tenner to spend in any way you like from the suggestions made by the

PUPs and your own.

Well done

everyone on smashing the £1,000 for the next presentation. That’s amazing

considering it’s all come in since the end of last March. I think we will have

our next presentation in April so let’s see how much more we can get…….

Now I’ll hand the thread over to Inchy and Duncan. Remember theres no pressure because we are all going to be doing our

best to help you to success. We all stand together with the single aim of

raising money for the Community Sports Foundation.

Good luck all you PUPs... take it away Bernie and Duncan ... the thread

is yours.......[:)]......

For the Norwich bet I''d say we might not start with our absolute strongest side. Man City have had players returning from injury and look to be on the turn, with an impressive comeback win away at Watford.I''d look at a Man City draw no bet @ 1/4 or a Man City win @ 8/13. The latter implies a 62% chance of winning, which seems a tad low given their firepower and signs of a return to form.Over 2.5 goals @ 7/10 or 4/6 seems like a reasonable punt. Good luck Duncan.

Off to Greece for Olympiakos vs. Levadiakos (home win).

As my choices for the City bet have been appallingly unsuccessful this season I''ll keep my additional £20 open for each week until I get something right. This week I''ll go for Brady to score a screamer (anytime) and if he''s not playing, City to win over 2.5 goals.

Best of luck everyone!

Stoke have a fairly solid cup record compared to Doncaster, so an away win @ around 5/6 looks good. Although Stoke have just lost a League Cup semi, I think they''ll have too much for their opponents.Good luck Inchy.

Spain for me, somewhat mischievously...

Barcelona v Granada - Home Win

And for the match bet, a goal from Vadis.

Good luck everyone, especially Inchy and Duncan

Dropping into the Conference this week

Boreham Wood (20th, 3-4-7 at home) v Cheltenham (Top, 8-4-1 away) - Away Win

Wasn''t sure where to go for the City bet, not knowing who might play, but I like the look of HT/FT Draw/Norwich at 11/1 on Bet365

Best of luck Inchy, Duncan and all you PUPs

In honour of the sparkling Vadis, who I think we can expect to see take a central role this weekend after his effective cameo against Southampton, where he really did change the game and liven up the stands:

Club Brugge vs Mouscron-Peruwelz - Home win 2/9

As for the Norwich bet, I''d like to bet on at least 6 changes for us, though ironically I suspect Man City may surprise us with a fairly strong side...I think it may be a rather (too) open game with a bet of over 3.5 goals a good one.

Buon Anno tutti e Buona Fortuna all''Inchy ed anche il Duncan Edwards...

Even though they''re bottom of the league, I can''t believe Bolton are odds against to win at a team three divisions beneath them.Eastleigh v Bolton - away win.For the match bet, Norwich to win and both teams to score at 13/2. Good luck all!

I''m not sure what I''m doing here, I''m about to break all the rules of avoiding Scotland and also cup games.  With some trepidation my pick this week is -- Motherwell vs Cove Rangers - home win[:S]Motherwell at home should be too strong for Highland League side Cove Rangers, who have reached the fourth round for the second time in their history. For the match bet a correct score of - Norwich 3 - 2 Manchester City.Good luck everyone, the very best of luck Inchy & Duncan [:)][Y]

trying to balance the possible upset and avoid a postponement is not easy this week but I''m looking at a rejuvenated Elliot Bennett to spark Paul Lamberts new charges into action and will take Blackburn to enjoy their away day at Newport and remain in the cup.

Newport v Blackburn Away win.

As for the City game, I can''t see us really being up for this one so it''s difficult to predict but one thing neither team will want is a replay so I expect this to be an open game, I''ll go for 2-3 score line with Man city going through.

Good luck pickers I think you might need it this week.

Think Zidane will get Bale firing, so Home win for Real Madrid v Deportivo.

And for City, draw h/t and Home win f/t

Good luck pickers, an interesting weekend, horrible weather and some horrible games to choose from (unless like me and go for R Madrid) ;-)

Now the days are back to normal after the manic insanity of the Christmas and New Year period I can remember when I need to pick my selections! Sorry for missing the last couple!

Inchy, you don''t need luck mate - I know you''ll be giving this your best like you always do.

I''m going in the FA Cup this week and selecting

Leeds United v ROTHERHAM - AWAY WIN @ 3/1

Seemingly, Leeds will be putting out a fringe team plus I think old Weeble Evans will crumble against his old team pressure wise. Also, I think Neil Redfern will want to prove a point against his former employers.

For the City bet, Dunc - I''m fancying a Penalty to be awarded, again @ 3/1

Good luck all,

Leedscanary

I''m keeping away from cup games and going for a home win for Barcelona v. Granada.

Barcelona are W8 D1 L0 F28 A7 at home and Granada are W2 D3 L4 F12 A18 away.

Good Luck, Inch High!

As for the Norwich bet ~ it''s a bit tricky with not knowing whether they''ll be changes. So I''ll take a risk and go Bennett to score any time.

Good Luck, Duncan!
