DEB (never forgotten) 0 Posted January 13, 2016 Norwich City have joined the race to sign Genoa defender Sebastian De Maio according to TMW. The Frenchman has caught the attention of a number of other clubs, and Genoa could be willing to sell the player for the right price.TMW have revealed Norwich City have already approached his club Genoa with regards to the central defender’s availability in this transfer window. The Premier League side are looking to bring in new players before the deadline to help consolidate their place in the top flight of English football. It’s been claimed Genoa would sell De Maio for a fee in the region of €4m to €5m, but Norwich City face competition to land the player.Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade is also keen on De Maio, and the 28 year old has been a long term target of the Serie A side. They are currently in talks with Benfica for Lisandro Lopez, but if they are unable to complete a deal for the defender they see De Maio as an ideal alternative.
