There are a few people missing from this thread but it''s got a large number of the people who never need any excuse to have a go at the club. And who also go missing when we win.

Let''s hope for another 6.5 million on Hellar and the sale of Laffs and Hooper.......too much to hope for?

Rather than a witch hunt, I''d rather it just be thought that, all though the club does get it wrong from time to time(and they put their hands up about the summer window) for the most part they try and are always ultimately trying to get the best for the club. Some of the attitudes about us doing it on the cheap and with no ambition are just so far from the truth...

I like many fans am glad to see at long last signings to help out back four and also effectively swapping grabs for naismith someone who will try his best for us.

Pity we didnt find more signings like this in summer when they had time to integrate into team.

Now either bring Hooper back or Bamford on loan and start with two up front again!
And the reason why?

Our timid Board will be budgeting for relegation... .again. Hence no increase in season ticket prices ........ cynical that.

Prudence with zero ambition. ..come on down!
Well, this is awkward.

Let''s see what Norwich''s NET spend will be this season? Johnson and Grabban alone was £14M in the coffers, so as welcome as Naismith''s signing is, we still won''t be spending as much money as I feel we should.

Indeed we could sell no one and sign a lower league has been for 100k and say we were bein progressive with that logic...

The only logical explaination can be that with the additions of Ed Balls and Nepho Tom the board has lost that timidity......

Please use the language of your choice Nutty, but maybe the term Nepho would be one you may wish to reconsider.😦

Tbh I don''t actually care that much if we do end up with a nil net spend - but would have to go some to get to that position now, given we''ve spent £20m and sold a reserve for £8m. The only thing I can see that might net it off is to sell Nathan, but he''s hardly setting the world alight at the moment. Even if that did happen IMO we''d still have a better squad than we started with and that''s without the ''one or two more'' that AN ''s mentioned.

Ooops[:$]

Nepo Tom may be acceptable though....

Anyway - if, as has been suggested, he''s really this guy I''ll be a bit more careful what I call him....

Now there''s a man, thank god we won''t be facing him on Saturday.

Sadly the needle did him little favour in the long run.

A true great.

Signing Naismith will relegate us, he''ll score a couple more goals that will win us a few more matches and that disaster would mean Neil would stay in charge..

But even worse Naismith might get a couple more and Klose might help a few more clean sheets...

Even worse, because then we might stay up, and then Neil has to stay and that means ''the cook'' will stay because it will look like they are all doing a good job... When actually they arnt, with no ambition and then next season we might get relegated again.

I think I summed up the logic

From what Alex Neil said on SSN earlier, I wouldnt be surprised if we get a new keeper. He said one or two more and sounded fairly confident with it whilst making sure to include the diplomatic "but only if we can do business" rhetoric.

I''m thinking the gaps would be up front. A pacy striker, one more CB if we don''t think either Bass or Benno are up for it and in goal where Rudd has done alright, but is still inexperienced and where the manager might decide he doesn''t want to take a risk. Ruddy appears to be out of the picture as well and nothings happened since Jake Kean went out on loan.

TBH if we bring in a striker now I''ll be well pleased.

And none of the prices we''ve paid have been inflated to normal January levels.

Obviously there''s no guarantee any signing will ever work out but the club has definitely given its best shot at it.
