They tend to want to make money back not pour it down the drain on football which is what normally happens when you buy a club. I wouldn''t worry about us getting left behind them anytime soon. Unless of course they fly in a ready made 40,000 seat stadium to replace theirs, find enough fans to fill it and sign Messi in January. I may have a little worry then. But then Bournemouth are, as far as I am aware, not listed on a stock market, so they can alter the share price unilaterally, as we did a couple of years or so ago, raising it from £30 to £100. So this American group may well have paid a great deal more than £2.3m, especially as all the reports indicate this investment will be used to help fund transfers.
