Derby today

Recommended Posts

Lots of City boys or old boys on tv now.

Murphy is outstanding. Bradley a bit anonymous, ie. not imposing. Butterfield not bad though.

Derby seem to have the managerial equivalent of Neil Adams and seems unable to get the best from an expensive and talented squad.

Great stuff for the neutral, brilliant to see both Murphys doing a good job!
Josh is looking the better player than Tom Ince (who has just missed a bit of a sitter) and was quite expensive for Derby.
Always thought he was overrated like his bolshie father.

Was never a yellow card. Prob not enough for a pen though. Thing is forwards get between defenders and the ball and go down as soon as they''re touched and get a free kick in other areas of the pitch. If the FA want different rules in the penalty area they should say so in the rulebook.

Agreed Nutty, always angers me so much that there seems to be a magical mystic set of rules that apply differently when in the penalty box. What angers me further is this enigma that players have to go to ground to win a penalty. A foul is a foul no matter where on the pitch and you shouldn''t have to hit the deck to win a foul.
