Villa/Sunderland/Newcastle

Recommended Posts

Villa/Sunderland/Newcastle all look poor at the moment, and rumours that Advocaat has already resigned and travelled home will not be good for us.

It is better for us that Advocaat, Sherwood, McLaren stays in their jobs, grabbing the occasional draw here and there, but not gaining any ground on us.

And before the deluded say we must concentrate more on our own stuff, our chances of staying up this year may well depend on other teams failing badly.

Our main priorities should be our own stuff, yes. But if other teams fail, it certainly makes our life in this division easier.

Too bad Villa did not draw against Stoke. Always good to have more teams below us, and draws in other fixtures are always good.

Our game with Newcastle after the international break will be very important. We never seem to do well there, and Newcastle know it may be a turning point in their season.

If we manage not to lose, I will be quite happy with it, but the state Newcastle are in now, we should fancy our chances of getting away with a win.

This next appointment by Sunderland will be crucial, both to tem and every else down there.

If they appoint Allardyce that could spell bad news for others likely to be around the bottom of the league as you''d fancy him to organize them to e able to survive.

I would still maintain that anyone that finishes below Bournemouth will deserve to get relegated.
