Rays Funds for the CSF with the Pink un Pickers Week 12

Recommended Posts

Welcome to week twelve of our

Rays Funds season. This week we have AJ in charge and picking the six. AJ has

had two really unlucky 5/6s in the last two seasons so I’m really confident

this will be a case of third time lucky. AJ’s having a brilliant season this

time. He’s got 9/11(82%) correct picks and is clear at the top of our

profitability league with a massive £5.68 profit from his 11 selections to date.

It’s AJ’s birthday this weekend too so we can give him some great presents with

our very best selections from the games played on Sat/Sun/Mon

of this weekend and listed on the William Hill web site. It has to be William Hill this week because we have

a free bet to use from Vindo’s unlucky 5/6 last weekend.

The Norwich

match this weekend is WBA at home. And making these selections we have a real

Rays Funds legend in Norfolkbroadslim. NBS has had three final selection wins

on the main bet and is our most consistent PUP over the years. We lost him for

a while last year and I missed him greatly on here. But now he’s back and has

10/10 (100%) winning selections in our PUPs league. Good luck Richard, you can

split the tenner up however you like from the PUPs suggestions or your own.

Our wonderful DS boys and girls drew their match at Newcastle 4-4 and I’ve

been told they played some fantastic football on the day. By the look of the pictures

I’ve seen they had a great time too.

The rota for November is nearly all confirmed. Just waiting for Snake

Eyes : -

Final Six

07/11 Yellowfuture – confirmed.

14/11 Purple – confirmed.

21/11 Splutcho - confirmed.

28/11 Hissing Sid - confirmed.

Norwich Match

07/11 Cityangel - confirmed.

14/11 Internationals

21/11 Redders Right Foot - confirmed.

28/11 Snake Eyes

Ill hand the thread over to AJ

and Norfolkbroadslim now. Remember theres no pressure

because we are all going to be doing our best to help you to success. We all

stand together with the single aim of raising money for the Community Sports

Foundation.

Good luck all you PUPs... take it away Adam and Richard... the thread is

yours.......[:)]

I love it, I just looked through all the home leagues to find something obscure, identified LINFIELD to beat Carrick Rangers, and the only poster ahead of me is YC.
Well, there we are.
Good luck everybody.

Goodness me, couple of heavy hitters this week Nutella..going all out for the win eh? Nice strategy...

I''d like to tell an interesting story about how and why I chose Hungary this week...a chance meeting with an old friend..a little bit of business..a feeling in my Anglian water...

...but truthfully it just looks a decent price for a highly likely result..so nothing clever, no philosophical reasoning..time for a win.. I''ll take my cue from Nutella:

Diosgyori vs Ferencvarosi - away win 4/9

As for the Norwich bet, we can be a little logical. All coaches revert to controllable factors in times of stress. This is typically shutting spaces, tight connections and a framework for a clean sheet.

On the other hand humans in times of stress revert back to their deepest grooved neural pathways, what their overriding characteristics truly are...

This could lead to a bit of conflict in Alex Neil and subsequently the team. I hope not.

I''m going to go for a failed attempt to play for a clean sheet, followed by an attacking surge leading to a 1-1 draw.

The very best of luck to the pair of you – I can feel a double win coming on this weekend.I''ve had more luck on the value picks recently, so I''m going to carry on looking for value until I fail again and need to get a couple of bankers under my belt. Despite their indifferent form of late, QPR are still above MK Dons in the form table and the table proper, have home advantage and still have Charlie Austin. Currently 21/20 with Bill Hill. For the Norwich match, I''m going to be insanely confident and predict a Mbokani hat-trick at 55/1. Why not? [:)]

Come on boys and girls! It''s Friday morning when you''re reading this and we''ve only managed 12 selections so far. I know you all want to help this very good cause and we can do that best by getting our picks in early ( rather than late ) so the final selectors have ample time to weigh all considerations.

For the Norwich match think back to the first game against Ipswich in the playoff semi. When Alex Neil wants to keep it tight he can, and I think we might see a win ugly strategy based on countering with long balls to Jerome/Mbokani.It''s a tough one to predict results-wise. With all that in mind I''d consider a few small individual bets on scorelines up to and including 2-1 (for either side), and under 2.5 goals @ 7/10 or under 3.5 @ 1/4.Total cards over 3.5 @ 8/13 looks a decent shot considering that Kevin Friend (5.75 cards/match) is in charge. West Brom have averaged 2.33 cards/game and Norwich are on a lull with only 1 card in their last three games. With both teams battling in what might be considered a six-pointer, conditions are ripe for Friend to become the players'' enemy.

Let me just add to the above, Kevin Friend''s PL career total is 3.78 cards/match. The 5.75 figure above is for this season.
