OT: RIP George Cole

Recommended Posts

The second screen legend to die in a week.

Grew up in the eighties watching Minder and Arthur Daley. They don''t make characters like that any more.

My condolences to er'' indoors

Yep RIP George. Great series Minder and the early St.Trinians are worth a revisit.(Who was the other screen legend?)

Surely there should be a minutes silence at the game on Saturday? (or how about a two minutes silence - 1 for Cilla Black?) [;)]

''Arfur'' and Gene Hunt are the two best television comic character creations for me.

Arfur wins it though.

Does anybody remember "A Life of Bliss"(with Psyche the dog) on steam radio all those years ago? I believe it was George Cole''s first ever role on radio/tv.

He didn''t do too many actually.

Thanks MW.

I''d just reached ''memory age" myself but my old couple would never miss it.

I''ll listen to those and believe that they were quality.
