Going to be a long season

Recommended Posts

We should''ve made some actual quality signings. We look very toothless in attack, it''s all well and good having lots of possession, but if you don''t do anything with it then when the other team has a chance you end up regretting your easy misses. That''s goal has been coming too. we are looking quite weak defensively, gaps opening up everywhere. I hate to be negative but surely I''m just pointing out the things that everybody can see.

This game is a classic example of why not adding quality to our defence and attack is going to cost us. Unless we splash some cash sharpish we will be comfortably relegated.

Starting with the worst striker at the club was always going to hamper us , would have fancied Hooper or even Wolf to bury that or any Sunday morning footballer come to that . Afraid penny pinching will be our downfall this season , too many people just relying on a good manager to be enough , it wont be .

you will never compete in the transfer market would you spend £20 million on a striker ? the objective is to avoid relegation and survive in the top league

So far, all our anxieties are being realised in one half of football.

Toothless in attack, dodgy at the back. We''re playing right into the hands of a counter attacking team like palace.

It didn''t work two seasons ago, and I doubt it will work again. We need to invest In forward positions.

We need Jerome and Redmond one, and Brady advanced. That might cause more problems for the palace rearguard.

Quick prediction - Tettey to see red at some point this half.

So how about now? If this is what we''re going to expect to watch this season then we will be relegated by Christmas. I genuinely cannot think of three worse teams than us

Unless we sort out our defence and attack i fear there''s every chance we might go down with a record low total of points.

What really pisses me off, is the fact that we''re now bringing Redmond and Jerome on at 0-2, and we will have to fight tooth and nail to even get a point now. When if we had just started with the two of them at 0-0 we might of had a chance at a point or more.. It''s like Chris Hughton is still in charge

Can''t blame the players, they''re giving their best. But Palace have much better players than we have.

We should have spent money bringing in quality players but then this is Norwich City who likes to do everything on the cheap.

Redmond to be sold in January.

Clearly none of you lot are actually watching the same game.

Decent goal disallowed, blatant penalty not given - just two of the many, many, many poor refereeing decisions of the officials today.

Norwich dominated for long periods, sloppy goals given away but there is no way Palace deserved a 3-1 win.

It certainly helps when the ref is on your side too. Should never ref a Norwich game again.

Going into the season with a team made up mostly of championship players was a BIG mistake. McNally needs to get the checkbook out NOW!

Just a deflection, Chicken.

Our guys played their hearts out but were outclassed by a better quality side. We haven''t invested on the pitch.

We played well. Our industrious midfield will always keep us competitive, however being toothless in attack, and error prone at the back, we''ll continue to lose games regardless of how well we play.

Today''s performance is more or less exactly how most would have predicted. We all agree we need a centre half, decent right back and centre forward. Why have we not been able to address this?

Need to spend big on at least 2 quality players this week. Referee today was a complete 🔔🔚

Not everyone is agreed Lincoln. The usual suspects have been telling us for weeks that our defence and attack are more than capable at this level. But obviously they will deflect the blame onto the referee. Because he clearly was the reason we defended so poorly and apart from the obligatory shocking miss from barn door Grabban, created next to nothing.

Yes, there are in deed so very delusional fans who fail to recognise that the squad is no stronger than two years ago, when it wasn''t strong enough for this level. The players seemed to get excused, as Hughton took the majority of the blame.
