Sunderland vs Norwich City - Match Thread

Recommended Posts

Afternoon all,

If like you me you''re unable to travel to the game today then we''ll have to do with the usual channels and hope those that have made the journey do us proud in the stands!

Jerome and Redmond start, no surprises there and Norwich line up as follows;

Ruddy; Whittaker, Martin, Bassong, Brady; Redmond, Tettey, Dorrans, Howson; Hoolahan; Jerome.

Subs: Rudd, Wisdom, Johnson, Grabban, Hooper, R Bennett, O''Neil.

Sunderland: Pantilimon, Jones, Kaboul, Coates, van Aanholt, Cattermole, Larsson, M’Vila, Defoe, Lens, Fletcher.

Subs: Mannone, Bridcutt, Rodwell, Watmore, Matthews, O''Shea, Graham.

Also perhaps a surprise is BJ who drops out to allocate Redmond into the starting 11. To be fair on showing Dorrans, Howson and Tettey probably deserve to start ahead of him. Just.

No surprise about Jonno, he was poor last week, this is the best possible team AN could have selected IMO

I agree, it''s bang on what I was hoping would start.

BJ needs a haircut!

Feel confident we''ll get something from today if we can get into the game without any early blunders.  At least a point, I hope [Y]
Like the team line up & the positive intent.

Howson does indeed appear to be on the left with Redmond on the right. I imagine they''ll swap throughout the game

Scrap that, Russy Martin said the team needs to perform this week and leads by example by prodding the ball home from a corner!

Get in!
Quiet old match thread proof we''re playing well. And the Captain gives us a deserved lead! :)
Alex Neil clearly has the utmost confidence in himself and his players. Staying true to the high-pressing, quick-passing, football that got us promoted.

fluke of a goal but we''d take one of those every week! We''ve made hard work of this so far but Sunderland look pretty hopeless and are there for the taking.

Yes indeed Phillip. And this week we score while we''re on top. A second would upset the natives so come on you yellows!

Best form of attack is defence you say?

Whitts adds a bullet of a second!
