Rays Funds for the CSF with the Pink un Pickers Week 3

Recommended Posts

I’m early today because I shall be out this afternoon and then at the

forum tonight. Hope to see loads of you there.

So welcome all PUPs old and new to week three of what’s looking to be

another brilliant Rays Funds season. The first two weeks has seen Crabby win in

the Norwich v Palace game followed by Lakey’s great win last weekend with the

final six. Both weeks we’ve had over 50 PUPs helping with suggestions! I’m lovin’

it!!!

This week we have Mr Apples in charge and choosing the final six matches

for the very first time. He joined us last season and quickly became a great

asset to our team and finished the season with 27/39 69% winning selections. Of

course Mr Apples is already proudly displayed on Ray’s signature thanks to his

success in the match bet last season where he got two options right. Apples is

an interesting poster on other threads too and I enjoyed good debate with him

in the summer.

I’m thankful for PUPanon and this match bet because it gives a chance to

PUPs who don’t finish in the top 40 to take an active role. This week have

another good poster in Lessingham Canary making the match bet selection. Lessingham

is already an important member of our great team despite only joining at the

very end of last season. This week it’s for our match at home to Stoke City and

it can anything from one bet for a tenner to ten one pound bets made either

from the PUPs suggestions or of your own Lessingham.

You PUPs had a great success with your suggestions last weekend. So

let’s give them our very best selections from the Bet365 or Bill Hill lists and

for the accumulator the matches must be played Sat/Sun/Mon this weekend.

Here’s the rotas for September. Please could you confirm with

your selections: -

Sep  5th -

Parma Ham''s gone mouldy – Confirmed

Sep 12th – Jellytot

- Confirmed

Sep 19th – Bor

Bor Bor - Confirmed

And for the Norwich games : -

Those of you on our Facebook group will already have seen that top PUP

Mandie Moo is running the Norwich 10k on August the 30th for our

charity the CSF. Mandie always supports me and turns out to represent us PUPs

at our presentations and the DS games. So I’m really happy to be able to share

her link on here. If you’re looking for someone to sponsor in the Norwich 10k

please let it be Mandie!!

Ill hand the thread over to Mr

Apples and Lessingham Canary now. Remember theres no pressure because we are all going to be doing our best to help you to

success. We all stand together with the single aim of raising money for the

Community Sports Foundation.

Good luck all you PUPs... Take it away Graham and Gordon ... the thread

is yours.......[:)]..........

Right, after they got taken apart by Man City, CHELSEA need to win at West Brom. They''re currently 4/7 on Bet365.

For the Norwich bet, I fancy a 2-1 victory at 9/1.

Good Luck everyone!!!

I will probably do my pick when i get home from the forum tonight. It will take me a little time to study the leagues unlike the 3 females in the top four PUPs who are obviously just riding along on the crest of luck at the moment.[:D]

I used to have a girlfriend from Belarus, she was beautiful, but an absolute nightmare. An unbearable princess.

I took her to the opera at Parma and left her shortly afterwards. Literally walked away in the street. Very ungentlemanly, never done it before or since.

I like it that we have 3 women in the top 4, long may it continue 👏💁🙅💃

As penance or in nostalgia please put me politely down for:

BATE Borisov vs Neman Grodno Home win.

Parma

As for the Norwich bet it is difficult to separate head from heart.

Not a massive fan of Stoke, nor do they have a good record on the road, though they are morphing into something less Neanderthal under Hughes and they have certainly bought some good players. Shaqiri can be a wonderful player and could well transfer his effectiveness to the English game.

Norwich were dynamic, purposeful and focused against Sunderland. I like that and don''t think it will change this year under this manager.

Truthfully think a draw is a pretty good result for both sides and some early safe points accumulation is a good strategy. I like the look of a 1-1 at 11/2, goods odds for a reasonably likely outcome.

Nutty Nigel -  Would be an honour to do the Norwich v Bournemouth bet on the 12th SeptAfter an unsuccessful forage into the Russian league last week ( well avoided LDC) its to Scotland for me where Aberdeen have started well and Dundee got thumped by The Accies last week.Aberdeen vs Dundee FC - Aberdeen home win at 1/2For the City game its hard to find a value bet at decent odds so Im going for a Norwich 3-2 win at 33/1Good luck Mr Apples and Lessingham

Cheers for the very kind intro NN, I''m not sure I''ve ever been called interesting before, usually just very, very annoying! It''s a pleasure to be given the chance to pick the matches for such a worthwhile cause. [:D]

I''ll be submitting my final selection on Friday night as I''ll be off-line Saturday a.m. so PUPs get your selections in quick, there''s already some very nice looking options.

After LDC''s excellent result last week I hope I can continue the good run!

Best of luck Mr Apples - tough act to follow but I have every faith in you.I''m definitely chasing the profitability crown this season - doubt I''ll have as good a run as last season just trying to pick winners, so I''m going to look for the value picks around even money. This week, I fancy the illustrious Ajax to dispense with NEC Nijmegen away from home - although NEC won their only home game thus far, Ajax won both games so far 3-0 and look a force to be reckoned with this season. Odds should be in the region of 7/10.For the match bet, Redmond to score first in a 2-1 win is a tempting 80/1! Good luck Lessingham.

Oh, match bet. Match drawn, 0-0 if you want to do a score bet.

Cheers FTW! [:D]

My selection for this week will be the first week of the Greek season, with Olympiakos vs. Panionios and an Olympiakos home win (not keen to hex my selection with my own pick, but will see).

For the City bet I''ll go for Hooly to get off the mark and score anytime.

Cheers for all the excellent suggestions so far!

For the Norwich bet Bassong anytime scorer @ 14/1 with Bet365 looks good. A score of 2-1 or 2-2 would be about right, so over 2.5 goals looks reasonable at evens. For the main bet I''m going for a double chance on Charlton to win or draw vs Hull @ 4/5.Hull may have won in midweek, but they haven''t looked too convincing amid lots of off field drama. Bruce has admitted that he fears a deadline day disaster after their match-botcotting owner revealed that several players have release clauses in their contracts. It was only a few weeks ago that he was threatening to quit as manager. There''s often an adjustment period for newly relegated sides and many will fail to win matches like this early on. The bookies seem to be underating Charlton again and conditions look favourable for them to avoid a home defeat.

For the main bet, I am suggesting Hearts to beat Partick in the SPL at Tynecastle, Hearts enjoying life back in the SPL and unbeaten in 4, also a good young and upcoming coach in Robbie Neilsen.

Good luck pickers.
