Corals - Free Norwich Shirt Offer

Recommended Posts

Just saw this on the NCFC main site, sounds good but there are no finer details or information on main site or Corals. Anyone have any detailed info on amount needed to be bet, at what odds, what shirt it is etcIf its a £20 bet and its an official 2015/6 shirt then its a great deal, if its a £50 bet  and a polo shirt then ............

It says on the link that you have to make three bets of £10+ to receive a code to get your free shirt. It doesn''t say what shirt you get though

You have to bet on something of odds of 1/2 or worse. In an ideal scenario you bet £30.. win some money and get a free shirtThe worst that can happen is you bet £30... lose it all... but you still get a shirt for like £15 less than the RRPSo in other words you''re buying a Norwich shirt for £30 but have a small chance of getting it for free or even making money!

That''s actually a really good deal if it is indeed for a Home shirt, £48 in the club shop or £30 in Coral with the potential to get your money back!

No Brainer if you actually want one of the monstrosities!

Stick 3 £10 bets on 1/2 shots and Coral end up paying you £15 for a brand new 2015/16 shirt, bargain!

If you''re risk averse you can lay the corresponding bets at Betfair and then you''d only be out a few quid.

Anyway, our nice "family club" with its heart in the community etc etc etc....promoting gambling?
F*cking disgusting.
Gambling ruins lives, breaks up families and causes significant mental anguish.  I am appalled at how low we have sunk in the pursuit of a few extra quid here and there.
Yeah, I know, I know.  But I am serious about this.
It is a dark day for the club''s spirit and soul.
I will be boycotting Carrow Road until the club steps away from the promotion of gambling.
Shame on you, David McNally.  Shame on you, Board and Business Managers.
Simply awful.

They''re not making you become a gambling addict!

I am over the money that I can now get the new shirt for £30 and I might even make some money in the process...

It only ruins lives if you are stupid enough to let it, are you speaking from experience bor?

Personally my betting account so far this season is up about £80

You did also realise there have been betting points in Carrow road for many years I take it?

Come on Lewis, don''t be naive.
They are introducing people to gambling.  A number of those will be first-time gamblers, and a number of those will develop gambling problems.  It''s statistical probability, something I specialise in.

Impact on Families

Gambling problems hurt families in many ways:

Money problems: When family members learn that savings, property or belongings have been lost, it can make them feel scared, angry and betrayed.

Emotional problems and isolation: Gambling problems cause strong feelings among family members, which make it harder to solve problems. Many partners of those with gambling problems do not want to be emotionally or physically close with the person who has hurt them. Family members may avoid other people, because they feel ashamed. This makes it hard to get love and support.

Physical and mental health: The stress of gambling problems sometimes causes health problems, for both the person who gambles and the family. This can include anxiety, depression and stress-related problems such as poor sleep, ulcers, bowel problems, headaches and muscle pains.

Burnout: Many families under stress have trouble coping. One member may try to keep things in control by taking on more tasks. This can lead to burnout. Family members often forget to take care of themselves or to have fun.

Impact on children: When a parent or caregiver has a gambling problem, children can feel forgotten, depressed and angry. They may believe they caused the problem and that if they are good, the problem will stop. Children may believe they must take sides between their parents. They may stop trusting a parent who makes promises he or she doesn''t keep. Some children may try to draw attention away from the parent with the gambling problem by misbehaving.

Physical and emotional abuse: Family violence is more common when families are in crisis. Gambling problems can lead to physical or emotional abuse of a partner, elder parent or child. If this is happening in your family, get help right away (see Chapter 5).

Anxiety and Depression

Many people who gamble excessively feel stressed, anxious and depressed. This can make sleeping, thinking and solving problems more difficult.

If you have some of the following symptoms for more than two weeks, making your day-to-day life difficult, you may have chronic depression:

  • You have lost interest in usual activities.
  • You feel depressed, down in the dumps or irritable.
  • Your sleep has changed (e.g., you have problems falling asleep or staying asleep, or you sleep too much).
  • Your appetite has changed. You have lost or gained weight.
  • You feel helpless, hopeless or despairing.
  • It is hard to think and to remember things, and your thoughts seem slower.
  • You go over and over guilty feelings. You cant stop thinking about problems.
  • You have lost interest in sex.
  • You feel physically tired, slow and heavy; or you feel restless and jumpy.
  • You feel angry.
  • You think about suicide.

If you have any of these difficulties, speak to your family doctor or other health care professional (a gambling counsellor can also make sure you get the help you need). Tell him or her about your gambling problems too. Treatment may include medications and/or counselling and other support.

Suicide Risk

Rates of suicide are higher for people who gamble excessively, and for their family members. The people most likely to attempt suicide are those who also have mental health problems (like depression) or who heavily use alcohol or other drugs. People who have threatened suicide or hurt themselves in the past are also more at risk. If you feel suicidal or are making plans to end your life, get help right away. You don''t have to deal with your problems alone. For more advice, see the box on this page.

What to do if you Feel Suicidal

If you are thinking about ending your life:

  • Get to your local emergency department immediately.
  • Remove any means for ending your life (e.g., firearms, medications).
  • Let your family or a friend know how you are feeling.
  • Call the local Distress Centre for support and information.
  • Let your doctor know what is going on, including your gambling.
  • Do not drink alcohol or take other drugs as it will make matters worse.
  • Contact the Ontario Problem Gambling Helpline (1 888 230-3505) and arrange to see a counsellor as soon as possible.
  • You can usually be seen within days.
  • Talk to someone you trust, such as a friend or spiritual advisor.

I can''t speak for all, and I do get where you''re coming from... But bookmakers and gambling have been thrust in the faces of football fans for years.

I personally have no issues when it comes to stopping betting...

Bor Bor Bor Bore off!

Like everything, absolutely fine in moderation!

I was torn, I thought it was a really good offer when I saw it, but then my conscious kicked in and Id rather give my football club £48 than potentially a bookies £30.

Perhaps I could start smoking heroine and blame the Government for not stopping drug dealers?

If you''re addicted to gambling it''s your own fault. If you''re willing to put your family''s future on the line then it says more about the person you are.

I enjoy a bet so why should my fun be ruined because of people with no self control?

Pretending something doesn''t exist won''t change anything. How many years since tobacco adverts were made illegal?

If you''re going to smoke heroine then you need to take that up with the Superhero police.

Just because something is legal, doesn''t make it morally right.

I placed my bets yesterday evening. Two out of two so far thanks to Rangers and Man City so about £3.50 in profit so far with just an Arsenal win for the hatrick!

I tweeted Coral to make sure it was all okay and they checked my username and confirmed it was and that emails would be sent out within 72 hours from the offer going up.

Every time I try and sign up it comes up with a message saying "Player __________ is fraudulent. Signup denied"

Have you had a Coral account before as this offer is for new members only?

just send them a tweet or contact them some other way - they are pretty prompt with replies.

I am waiting for a code too! Becoming a bit impatient. Corals ''help team'' aren''t being very helpful either.

That said - I''m 24 quid up after my three £10 bets. Norwich V Stoke, Preston V Ipswich and Leicester V Spurs all to score.
