unique 466 Posted August 25, 2015 A supposed loan target to compete with Wes Hoolahan. He would be an excellent addition.
Rich T The Biscuit 676 Posted August 25, 2015 As a loan he''d be great for the squad. He was superb last season for Brentford and I was/am surprised he didn''t go there again this year, maybe suggests that Spurs considered him for their side this year. He''d add some competition to Wes and would tick the not costing a fortune in transfer fee which will keep some of us happy.Him, a centre forward and a centre half and we''re done in my view
Feedthewolf 5,885 Posted August 25, 2015 Would be an absolutely terrific signing. However, one caveat: if, at the end of the season, we have no chance of buying him, it''s a bit of a ''tease'' – Wes is another year older (realistically next season would be his last at the top level I reckon), and we also have a Pritchard-shaped creative hole in the front of our midfield. Okay if we stay up and have a ton of money to spend, but in terms of ''succession planning'' I''d rather sign Wes''s eventual replacement outright if possible. Crabbycanary3 994 Posted August 25, 2015 I think you also have to consider Spurs position in this FTW, come the end of the season. If they are doing well, their sights will be set higher (ergo , more expensive/better players) so Pritchard may be a realistic target, IF all goes to plan. At the moment, it lookslike they don''t consider Pritchard to be what they require, so you never know
mrs miggins 0 Posted August 25, 2015 And Jordi Amat (swansea CB) as well. All these twitter rumours though eh, their gonna kill us.

Might change the dynamics a bit (note: I know they haven''t GOT Berahino yet, but it''s only a matter of time).
Cantiaci Canary 610 Posted August 25, 2015 YES please!
ZLF 335 Posted August 25, 2015 He is a quality player and I would like to see him here; but we have a full cm already; is our need there greater than at left back, centre back or striker? Not for meAlternatively I see de Guzman would be an option in that area too
kick it off 2,062 Posted August 25, 2015 Just to add a further reason this could be a goer (and hopefully will be) - Pritchard will know Redmond well from the Eng U21 set up, so they will already have some level of an understanding on the pitch. I don''t watch Eng U21s so can''t express any opinion as to how good that understanding is, but presumably there is one.

Howson is about our best bet but I would prefer to see Pritchard there.Pritchard also doesn''t count against the squad quota, it probably gives us enough options to let O''Neil go and gain an extra squad spot if the rumour of us wanting 4 in are true. Move Klose 303 Posted August 25, 2015 Probably more likely to see end of vadis (loan)
The Great Wall Of Tettey 0 Posted August 25, 2015 Personally think he would end up playing ahead of hoolahan. Would spurs let him go if he was just going to sit on the bench for us? Not a bad dilemma for Neil if that was to happen. He completely ran the show home and away for them
Crabbycanary3 994 Posted August 25, 2015 Cheers KIO, I didn''t know about his contract situation. Having him for 1 year is better than none I guess!
Peanuts 154 Posted August 25, 2015 Yeah I can''t see Spurs wanting to send him out on loan (or him wanting to come) just to warm the bench as Hoolahan''s understudy. But then AN is going to pick his best 11 whether that''s Pritchard or Hoolahan or anyone else. Also when Dorrans first came some touted him as a replacement/competition for Wes but yet they have both featured heavily under Neil, so you never know. ROBFLECK 134 Posted August 25, 2015 Hope he comes, but not getting my hopes up
Monty13 2,736 Posted August 25, 2015 Would be a great addition, can''t see him replacing Wes on his current form, but great option to replace him 65mins+ when the legs get tired.Surely spells the end of Andreu? Can see him returning on loan to Hamilton.
smooth 114 Posted August 25, 2015 was wondering about Andreu today with potential new players coming in.It is interesting, VOO all on the fringes? Do we think? As mentioned we have a lot in the midfield but spaces will open up or a few loans will come in.I hope this will be a good week with quality signings rather than quantity, it is about improving our first 11 and integrating them over September/October to that first 11. I do rate pritchard and will be happy if he signs; quality hard working player of the type we need. If looking at lack of cover as an argument left back far thinner on the ground; my preference for Brady to be in the midfield role rather than being forced to cover olssons injury for example. Its all about priorities - mine are striker first and then def before another central midfielder. kick it off 2,062 Posted August 25, 2015 Agree striker and CB/LB are priorities before another mid, however, fortunately it is possible to do all 3 simultaneously. Pritchard on loan wouldn''t be bank breaking, and getting him in has no relationship to whether we get a new striker or def in, so not sure where ur coming from really. Can''t imagine McNally is sat on the phone with Jez Moxey for 8 hours of his working day, I''d much rather we continued to try to add depth and quality to the squad in all areas right up until deadline day, rather than saying "Well Pritchard is a wonderful player and we''d love to take him on loan, but you''ll have to give us a few days to sign a LB and a striker first as they''re higher on the priority list for us". Look at Man United and the Pedro deal. Delays cost you in transfer windows. If there''s a chance to sign him, we sign him, end of for me.

If the deal is doable, do it.
grefstad 0 Posted August 25, 2015 Listen, we have noone to compete with Wes, in his role. None of the other midfieldes, bar Andreu. Howson maybe, if our hand was forced.AN wants 2 for each position, and Pritchard fits the bill. Young, hungry, capable, and maybe long term successor to Wes. We may well be able to but Pritchard after a season loan, if he has had proper game time. Only downside would be the price, as he just signed a 5-year deal at Spurs..,

I wouldn''t be optimistic of Spurs wanting to sell him at the end of the loan period, which would leave us with a big creative hole as mentioned in my earlier post in this thread. Still, well worth the gamble – even if it''s just for a season, he''s a superb footballer who would be a dream in our creative, fluid attacking formations. Essjayess 307 Posted August 25, 2015 So, todays "Norwich are interested in" rumours are Pritchard and Amat..ok fine. Honest, i will be happy come next tuesday when all this rumour nonsense finally ends, its starting to get pretty meaningless though its good clean fun i guess. If we get anyone new in then great, if we dont then also great. it will be just nice to concentrate on the actual matches and not bust our heads on this guy or that guy may join City.I suppose the forums will go a bit more quiet though :)
