Crabbycanary3 994 Posted August 25, 2015 As it is quiet on here, anyone else think life is flashing by at an unprecedented rate?
Katie Borkins 1 Posted August 25, 2015 Isn''t the principle of relativity that the longer one lives, the more time has elapsed and therefore time appears to be travelling faster when in reality it is all at the same speed and it is only our subjective perception which changes? Anyway, I had lunch with the in-laws last weekend and if you want time to pass really slowly then I will send you their address.
Crafty Canary 490 Posted August 25, 2015 In the theory of special relativity the dilation or slowing of time depends on the frame of reference of the observer. The closer an object''s velocity approaches the speed of light the more time is dilated relative to an external observer. In the general theory of relativity space-time is bent by gravity so as light waves pass close to a large gravitational mass the more it is bent and this will impact on time
