We got Jerome....do we call Bournemouth''s bluff?they can have Jerome and send us Wilson? possibly even no cash exchanging hands just a straight player swap?

I''m quite happy with Cameron Jerome. From memory, we signed Lewis Grabban from Bournemouth and with the money we paid, they replaced him with Callum Wilson from Coventry. Right now it looks we maybe bought the wrong player...

Right now we look like we''ve been done up like a kipper, it looked like maybe we bought the wrong player 12 months ago while Wilson was banging in 23 goals and picking up his Championship winners medal!

Would that be the same Wilson who chose Bournemouth over us as a wanted a regular first team place ?Now come on chaps now is not the time to rewrite history.

Look on the bright side.

We signed Grabban for what, £3m? And now, one year later, after a decent enough season from Grabban but not a spectacular one, we''re doubling our money.

He played a part in our promotion: job done. Now let''s cash in on a player who doesn''t want to be here, make a profit, and reinvest the money.

Grabban served his purpose in helping Norwich get promoted.

Giving Bournemouth the money to then go out and buy Wilson was, with hindsight, not the best transfer planning our club has ever done.

I wanted him 3 years ago. Could see the was something special when he first burst into the scene at Coventry who had money troubles at the time.

How on earth were we to know that Bournemouth would a) sign Wilson, and b) get promotion?

We could''ve signed, hypothetically, a player from Wolves, Cardiff or Leeds who may have reinvested in a key player who fired them to promotion. Then we''d be in the same situation.

Don''t think it quite works that way, how much money have we given Leeds over the past few years! They haven''t done JS.

Eddie Howe had promotion written all over him

"Grabban served his purpose in helping Norwich get promotion."

Exactly and he also scored that three-pointer against 1p5wich.

The end justifies the means and, irrespective of the Wilson situation, LG will owe us nothing, especially as we could make a tidy profit on him.

Technically Jerome was instead of Wilson. He was plan b after Wilson chose Bournemouth over us.

The Bournemouth promotion doesn''t come int o his argument really.

We wanted grabban and Wilson and chose to sort grabban out before we did Wilson. Whilst we can''t know everything, if we knew Bournemouth wanted Wilson but had to get the money off us first then perhaps we should have done the Wilson deal then the grabban one but then maybe Bournemouth would have been less keen to see grabban leave after missing out on Wilson?

Understandably, while Wilson had more potential, we went for the more proven championship operator. While we don''t know how Wilson at us would have worked out, we know that getting grabban and Jerome contributed enough to get us promoted so in a way, it matters not that we missed out on Wilson in that regard though it would be nice to have him admittedly! Bournemouth being promoted too doesnt bother me one bit.

The decision is a bit like when we chose hucks over crouch. We got our most exciting player in a generation but perhaps crouchy would have been even better given his England career and big transfer fees he has commanded, we will never know.

Exactly!

If we''d of bought Wilson he''d be half the player he is today as he wouldn''t of been given the game time like he has at Bournemouth with Jerome''s form.

If my aunt had nuts she''d be my uncle.........
