Welcome aboard Mbokani ... I just hope you don''t miss a chance in your first game or you''ll be written off as not up to standard by many on here.
its not missing a chance in your first game which is the problem. it is actually scoring in your first game which is the issue. well that, and not scoring again for 30 or more games afterwards.....

Dynamo Kiev hitman joins the Canaries on a year''s loan.

NORWICH City are delighted to announce the signing of Dynamo Kiev

striker Dieumerci Mbokani on a season-long loan, with an option to buy,

pending the approval of a work permit.

A DR Congo international alongside City''s Youssouf Mulumbu, the

29-year-old began in his native country with Bel''Or and TP Mazembe

before moving on loan to Belgian side Anderlecht in 2006 ahead of a

permanent switch to Standard Liege.

The forward took in brief spells with Monaco and Wolfsburg during the 2010-11 campaign, prior to returning to Anderlecht.

His goals helped secure the Belgian First Division title in both of the

next two seasons, while also earning him the 2013 Golden Shoe award -

given to the best player in the league - ahead of the likes of Kevin De

Bruyne and Carlos Bacca.

Such form earned a move to Kiev in June 2013, where he has subsequently netted 19 times in 46 matches for the Ukrainian giants.

Across the course of his European-based career, he has made 253

appearances and scored 111 goals, including in the UEFA Champions League

and UEFA Europa League.

City boss Alex Neil said: "Dieumerci is going to give us competition at

the top end of the pitch, and I think we''ve needed a bit of

strengthening there.

"He''s a big, strong number nine - he can take the ball in, he''s mobile

and he''s a real threat in the box. We''re hoping all of those things come

together for him.

"He''s got a good track record and he''s played Champions League football, so I think it''s an exciting signing for us."

"Pending the approval of a work permit"

Hope they''ve done their research, because if this falls through there''s going to be a meltdown on here!

Wiki page updated already. Interesting Strike rate, but not at the major leagues. Reckon  he will get some though.
