£1.5 mill for him. FC Midtjylland''s loss is City''s gain. Carlos Cuellar, Michael Turner eat your hearts out.

How much did Michael Turner cost again?

Linked to a host of clubs. Everton, West Brom etc. Captain of their team, 23 years old and also Danish international. I''d be very, very happy with him and another big player like Koulibaly or N''Koulou (who is now linked with Chelsea unfortunately)

Hope this happens and quickly, the failure to get Koulibaly was disapointing,  our need for a CB is now urgent and its 2 days left.

The Danish  source says we have bid just over 2 mill?..if this guy is as half decent as some say...then to me thats a figure that other clubs will easy over bid on..this club is in the spotlight now after beating Southampton..maybe we will lose  out to Fulham  >.>

Is £2 million really going to get us a center half capable of playing in the Prem , we would probably ask more than that for Martin or Bassong . We need significant improvement at the back and up front , more of the same just wont keep us up . We have made a complete balls up of this summer window and are now trying to panic buy anybody thats going .

It''s irrelevant how much he cost as to how good he is. If he was English would probably cost £10m. Players from Scandinavia tend to alot lower price than most other European leagues.

Supposedly we''ve bid 2.2 million, no official word on if it has been accepted
Chris Goreham praying it doesn''t happen.

Good enough for me.
The same Chris Boreham who said Bassong was badly injured the other night but still continued.

His opinion so blinkered and rose tinted, awful commentator who rambles on and lacks commentary skills.

Conceding an average of two goals per game suggests the defence should be a priority area for new signings. Hopefully something will be done before the window closes otherwise it will be a tough slog ahead.

Look on the bright side...we have yet to face any of the big clubs to, maybe we will keep clean sheets against them >.>

Dont know a thing about him, may be good may be not but we seem to be bidding £2m now where not so long ago we were £8 plus. Unless you have a fantastic scouting network and i fear we must have one of the worst then you get what you pay for more often than not. I suspect he may prove to be a decent championship CB

We''d struggle to buy ice from an Eskimo! It''s getting ridiculous now.

The last two weeks suggest it takes NCFC a couple of days before realising they can make a higher bid if one is rejected.

So guess we''re screwed for the transfer window.

In defense of Neill, I should think this has been one of the most frustrating windows he''ll ever experience, but highlights our negotiating skills are next to nothing (& before you say it, that includes understanding how to make sensible bids so that the other club bites, not penauts!)

Canary, totally agree. Surely they must know what price they want. Just pay it and get some quality in!!!

The issue is the TV deal.

Every club in the Premier League is struggling to sign players for realistic prices or comparative prices compared to this time last season.

Clubs around Europe are going to try and eek out more from potential buyers. And yet new clubs, like ourselves and Bournemouth, clearly do not have the cash to throw about quite as much as other teams with at least a season of premier league money behind them and perhaps wealthy backers.

And also, with so many question marks still around. Eg, Man Utd have just sold Evans, are they looking for a replacement? Chelsea were in for Stones, will they revisit - if so will Everton be after a new CB? Will they be after one anyway? Southampton are rumoured to be in for at least one CB according to their manager.

Jesus christ, no team goes and pays what the other club want straight away. It''s called negotiating. Every team does it. If we just payed whatever a team asks for, for every player we wanted, we would be skint. Hull apparently wanted 15 mil for brady, and our negotiating meant we got him for 7. That was thanks to the previous bids. Yet if you had it your way, we would have paid nearly double what we got him for. Even outside of football, negotiating happens with purchases. Any time I have bought or sold a car, nobody has ever said yes straight away for the price the car was listed, there is always negotiating.

Lynn, thats nice when then there''s no deadline on buying a car.

We need reinforecements and there''s little thing of the deadline finishing in less than 24 hrs!

As we are currently a premier league side every move we make makes news somewhere. This may appear that we are cheap skates when actually we are just doing business.

Trust in the club. If they truly want Sviatchenko they will reach a deal but, as with Afobe, they won''t be held for ransom.
