3canaries 0 Posted July 25, 2005 Read with amusement this morning on the EDP website the ''timetable of events'' which led the Inter Milan game being on again.It would seem that the NCFC officials had been working on a contigency plan for get in another top class team to replace Inter Milan.extracted from the article.....Saturday/Sunday: Senior Norwich club officials spend the weekend putting pressure on Inter to get the game back on while simultaneously arranging possible alternative opposition to ensure a game went ahead as scheduled on Friday evening. The Canaries spoke to a number of clubs and match agents and produced a shortlist of potential opponents that included: FC Braga, who finished fourth in the Portuguese league and are in the Uefa cup; Red Star Belgrade; Olympiakos; Parma of Italy; and Swindon Town. Talks were at various stages of negotiation with these clubs.Hmmm, Inter, Olympiakos, Parma......and Swindon Town.Made me chuckle this morning anyway!!!!!
