Opportunity missed

Recommended Posts

like many I was expecting not only yesterday but the entire summer transfer window to yield more. After the terrific end to last season and the fact next season the premier league money will jump up expanansionally , I really thought with Alex Neil, the hottest young manager on the scene, the club would back him to the hilt in order to cement the club in the prem for seasons to come.

How wrong was that thought? But what disappointed me most was not the fact no marquee signing arrived but the fact we were turned down by so many ordinary players!! Something must be very wrong with the clubs back room policy''s or wage structure to be unable to get signings over the line. Either that or the board enjoyed their day out at Wembley so much they can''t wait for another go at the play offs?
