Fixtures and Sky/BT

Recommended Posts

Don''t book your train tickets just yet, with six games each weekend ( Fri night, Sat lunchtime, Sat teatime, Sun lunchtime, Sun teatime and Monday night ) the list that comes out on Wednesday will be bashed about by the TV companies. I have a Chelsea supporter friend who saw four three o''clock kick offs all season. My dread is that the " non fashionable " clubs will end up with the Friday night slot.

I thought the same about Friday night fixtures, but it is correct they don''t start until next season.

Some reports suggest that this season is the same as last with the number of televised games, some reports say BT Sports have 4 extra games.

Also, even next season I don''t think there will be a game in all 6 of the potential slots every weekend. Although trying to decipher the TV rights agreement is a nightmare.

Norwich will play more games at 3pm on a Saturday than they don''t - I expect 5-6 games will be moved over the course of the season (not including ones for European fixtures which could affect the Liverpool and Southampton games in the first month or so).
