Rich T The Biscuit 562 Posted June 22, 2015 Good signing, plenty of PL experience and free so that should keep some happy.
lake district canary 4,531 Posted June 22, 2015 Superb addition to the squad as competition for Tettey or even to play alongside him. Midfield options now looking very strong.
lappinitup 629 Posted June 22, 2015 Is this True Tit''s "marquee" signing though? [;)]
OldRobert 38 Posted June 22, 2015
Is this True Tit''s "marquee" signing though? [;)]
According to him it''s mediocre Lapps.............not expensive enough to drive us into debt again.[;)]
Old Shuck 183 Posted June 22, 2015 Quite how his signing equates to "mediocre" I don''t know. But there you go. Good signing. Knows the Premier League so no bedding in period needed. Quality player in a specialised position. Happy with this one.
yoda 0 Posted June 22, 2015 Can''t really go wrong with this one can we ?
Dubai Mark 0 Posted June 22, 2015 I was shocked when West Brom let him go and am impressed he has joined us. No doubt he is quality.....
Buh 0 Posted June 22, 2015 Good addition pleased with that seems weird he didn''t stay at west brom! Has always looked good when I''ve seen him
morty 0 Posted June 22, 2015 Only slight reservation is that he didn''t play many games for West Brom after he returned from the African cup of nations, last season.I hope thats not going to be an issue.
Norfolk Dan 308 Posted June 22, 2015 OMG. Can anyone spot the current miracle of this thread, so far!? Other than that, great news, hope 3 more solid signings like this and we can sit back and enjoy the 24 or 26 winnable games a season prem league that we now face. Rich T The Biscuit 562 Posted June 22, 2015 I''m quite surprised it''s only a 2yr deal, or maybe it''s one of those 2yrs with a 1yr option?!?
Daz Sparks 1,151 Posted June 22, 2015 I wonder how he''ll get on with Gary O''Neil?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K5MIooV9kp4Great signing though, very able, he actually got 2 Wet Spam players with that shot.
Lessingham Canary 99 Posted June 22, 2015 Great news, nice to be talking of a signing, adds depth and strength.
Crispy 4 Posted June 22, 2015 He has more proven premiership quality than any other defensive midfielder in our squad a step in the right direction. His type of player is never going to be a glamour signing but he improves our first 11 no doubt. No other premiership player has more interceptions than him in the last 4 years. Newly promoted teams will always struggle to get the ball back in the prem so this kind of player will make life easier.
Miss Bum Bum 0 Posted June 22, 2015 Still want to know where all the money has gone!2 WBA rejects is hardly ambitious now is it!
yoda 0 Posted June 22, 2015 We''re still in June ! chill .
Paul101 93 Posted June 22, 2015 and I still think you and true grit are the same person so mysteries all around the place
Branston Pickle 3,638 Posted June 22, 2015 Dorrans signing is c£4m. Mulumbu will only be ''free'' in terms of not having to pay WBA for him, but he''s probably in his prime and a proven PL player so we''re probably paying a fair whack as a signing on fee. It is only June, we have the nucleus of a half-decent PL squad that should never have come close to being relegated in the first place. All''s good so far. yoda 0 Posted June 22, 2015 Sometimes think some of our fans should go and watch Halifax town for a season then they might have something to moan about.
Highland Canary 76 Posted June 22, 2015 Good signing imo. Now for new starters on the right side of defence and a striker needed.

It is only June, we have the nucleus of a half-decent PL squad that should never have come close to being relegated in the first place. All''s good so far.
If you take the squad that was relegated - and I agree it shouldn''t have been - it is now already much stronger. As strikers we have still got the main two strikers rom that season in Hooper and RVW, but have two players that on form are ahead of them in Jerome and Grabban, so strikers are already better than what we had. In midfield we have lost Snodgrass and Fer (both of whom flattered to deceive imo) and gained O''Neil, Mulumbu and Dorrans - all proven, Vadis and Andrue as possibles to come through too, so midfield is stronger in depth than it was. In defence we have Bassong back to his best, Martin established at CB (you can forget him now as a right back imo) and Olsson amd Whittaker - so a little strengthening of the squad here is needed. But in terms of being stronger than we were two seasons ago, the answer is a big yes, much better, in terms of players, management, experience, confidence and momentum. And its still only June. mrs miggins 0 Posted June 22, 2015 Although I really rate Hooper (as a second striker) I can''t help but feel he''ll go, I don''t know why.
