SwindonCanary 448 Posted June 24, 2015 To be fair, policing costs are a joke. They tell you how many police are needed for an event, then the organizer has to pay their costs. Funny how it''s usually more police needed on a double time Sunday !
lappinitup 629 Posted June 24, 2015 More here.........http://www.sudburymercury.co.uk/news/ipswich_town_sue_suffolk_police_for_511k_over_illegal_charges_1_4125084They''re doing it because Leeds did it, another basket case club.

morty 0 Posted June 24, 2015
The comments after the Sudbury Mercury article could have been lifted from the pages of this messageboard.
And I quote :-ITFC is a business therefore if it cannot provide the policing and security necessary on match days then it has to pay for it. Having worked with ITFC in the past commercially it truly believes that it is more than just a business and that you should be honoured to work alongside them. When they don''t pay their bills and go bust on you owing £30k + the next day they are on the phone expecting you to get on your knees and be grateful they called you and invited you to work with them again. When you do work with them it is not a simple case of being awarded a contract there is always some little deal to seal like taking an advert in the programme, becoming a match day sponsor, taking a corporate box from them - ITFC if you truly believe you are a part of Ipswich, pay your rent, pay your policing costs and pay your suppliers - you are NOT a charity and i beg to question whether you are even an asset to the community.Brilliant[:D]

Crafty Canary 451 Posted June 24, 2015 Can''t the police do them for impersonating a professional football club?
Jack Flash 13 Posted June 24, 2015 See they are now trying to sell Mings to Bournemouth. Their fans think he''s worth £8M to £10M? Well watched him play against us 4 x last season and I think he''s worth max £1M. Big lad, with a bit of pace, but limited football skills.
Marchant 5 Posted June 24, 2015 I like the comments on TWTD implying that even if the money goes straight to Marcus Evans, the Police should pay it back because its the moral thing to do! You couldn''t make it up, could you?

BroadstairsR 1,687 Posted June 24, 2015 All a bit desperate, IMO.It could turn out to be a massive own goal.Besides, High Courts are expensive and, if they should lose, McCarthy''s transfer budget, such as it is, could be blown away.At least we took on a Sunday newspaper, they are taking on stalwarts of the community. Not sensible.
