TimDim 0 Posted July 15, 2015 Last season we had both Johnson and Whittaker coming good, with Bassong and Hoolahan returning to their old form.So what of the fringe players,Thompson, McGrandles, Josh Murphy, Toffolo and Loza ? All of whom are available and don''t need to be named in the squad. Who''s going to push his way forward this year ? Any bets on Andreu and VOO ? Andreu sounded like he was on fire at Hitchin. Maybe the squad ain''t in such a bad shape as many think.

I reckon the majority of fans think the squad is in good shape already and any extras brought in will just add to what is already a decent squad.

Miss Bum Bum 0 Posted July 15, 2015 With the board refusing to spend money those in the squad are going to have to play the game of their lives every week if we have any chance of avoiding relegation with the lowest ever points total
lake district canary 4,531 Posted July 15, 2015
Eliott Bennet
Still a potential right back in the making. Didn''t he play right back against Hitchin in the first-half? Quality player, intelligent and a hard worker - and has done well in the odd occasions he has played there. Katie Borkins 1 Posted July 15, 2015 Andreu will bag at least eight goals.
Herman 9,756 Posted July 15, 2015 Yes he did LDC and he did look comfortable, even if it was only Hitchin. Good going forward, steady and as you say intelligent, with a good eye for a pass. (Unfortunately Loza wasn''t on the same wavelength some of the times and missed a couple of one-twos.) With him and Whitts that position is not a major priority,

Hairy Canary 699 Posted July 15, 2015 now now Herman. Please God I can''t be as bad as Highland and Waveney. I really would hang my head in shame :-)
Herman 9,756 Posted July 15, 2015 Haha, my apologies to the good Canarys.
93vintage 16 Posted July 15, 2015 A good bet would have to be Rudd. The incumbent is bound to get the yips or suffer an injury, in which case his deputy could come in and shine.
ive thought it would be his position since Lambert stuck him there once. Pace and work ethic are perfect for a full back and I think he has the desire to learn the discipline of defending.Likely to start the season there with Whitaker at left back and I wonder if he might keep the role when Ollson is back. HertsCanary93 222 Posted July 16, 2015 I will eat every hat I own if Andreu is a revelation next season. Let''s not get ahead of ourselves after a few goals against a team well in the depths of part time non-league football. To answer the question though, I''m quietly confident Jerome will have a prolific season for us.
