Terry Bly: The Modest Marksmen

Hi fellas,

Suspect most of you know about Terry Bly but just thought some of you might be interested in this piece on him. For anyone who doesn''t know, Bly is a former Norwich striker who played for the Canaries from 1956 to 1960 and was prolific in front of goal.

Born in Fincham, he was originally turned down by the club but eventually signed at the age of 21. He had his best season in 1958/59, scoring 29 goals in 32 games as Norwich reached the FA Cup semi-finals.

He left the club in 1960 after injury troubles and in his first season after leaving he scored 52 goals, which still stands as a record in the Football League.
